According to the system update notes for Switch, the issue with the Pro Controller came about when users updated to version 10.0.0 or 10.0.1. The update apparently caused an issue when it came to setting up a new Nintendo Switch Pro Controller as it sometimes caused “incorrect joystick control.” Update 10.0.2 also contains general system stability improvements, something Nintendo touched up with version 10.0.1 in March and this month’s update on April 13....

Sniper Elite 4 is ready for a November 17 deployment on Nintendo Switch, and it’ll be available in both boxed and digital editions. Combining emergent stealth action with sniping freedom across large maps, the game is the most widely acclaimed entry in Rebellion’s sharpshooter series which has sold more than 20 million units worldwide. Now that Xbox Series X consoles are out in the wild, some crafty early adopters discovered a neat “feature” that may be the funniest in either of the three next-gen consoles. Previously in The Division 2, players had to have substantial Skill Power on their equipment if they wanted to focus in on one particular skill tree. In Warlords of New York, the Skill Power system has been removed and replaced with the Skill Tier, which adds three core components from The Division: Firearms, Stamina and Electronics. There will also be more skill orientated gear to collect and some items will have one of these Skill Tiers as an attribute....

After months of hints and teasers, Ubisoft has finally, officially unveiled The Summit for The Division 2. The Summit is a PvE experience similar to Underground from the original game. The Summit takes place in a 100-floor skyscraper, which players will have to go through floor by floor, facing off enemies from the game’s various factions, including those found in New York. It will also feature boss fights, and a randomised set of objectives players will be tasked with completing....

But, if you are an Xbox One user, you won’t have to wait that long to get a taste of it, because a demo of the game is available on the console now. PC players can check out the demo during the upcoming Steam Next Festival, which kicks off tomorrow, October 1. Developed by White Owls and led by Swery, creator of Deadly Premonition, and Yukio Futatsugi, creator of Panzer Dragoon and Phantom Dust, The Good Life an adventure game in which you play as Naomi, a New York-based photographer who has just arrived in the small British town of Rainy Woods....

Players will be able to assign various pronouns to their Sims, or create custom pronouns of their own, without the need to install any mods. This can all be done from the ‘Create A Sim’ page, and pronouns can be selected by going to edit your Sims’ name, and clicking pronouns just to the right - as shown both above and below. EA have also added some exemplary sentences for the use of pronouns, to help players work out which pronouns are right for their Sim....

Surprsingly, Nacon didn’t say how long the delay is going to be. The company simply said it will be “a few months”, which is a little unusual. With that said, Nacon promised an update with a more solid release date in the near future. The reason for the delay is the very understandable need for polishing the game to make it the best version it can be. “During the past several years, the team has been working hard to share our vision of a remarkable story, set in a breathtaking world, filled with magic and wonder,” the developer said in a statement....

The next Steam Game Festival returns June 16-22, so you will have a bit of a wait (thanks, resetera). Like previous festivals, you can expect plenty of demos, chats with developers, and live streams. Earlier this month, the winter festival kicked off and featured over 500 free game demos which were available to download and play for the duration. There were also developer livestreams on each participating game’s Steam page, and there were panels and chats....

The Sims 4 Werewolves marks the twelfth game pack introduced to the title, and it invites players to explore the new world of Moonwood Mill. With the Werewolves pack installed, players can choose their own Werewolf origin story, in a similar light to the Vampires pack. Werewolf sims will have to choose whether they want to embrace their animalistic side or fight against it, and they will be affected by the moon cycle and other werewolf events....

The most exciting news of all that was shared during the showcase was regarding a particular age group I personally can’t stand to be around: Infants. In The Sims 4, creating babies and raising them is part of the fun, but the stage after birth in which babies remain confined to their cribs until they’re old enough to transform into a toddler is dull. During the showcase, Maxis explained that Infants will be a lot more interactable, able to crawl around your home as an infant would, and are even fully customisable....
