According to a rumor that’s doing the rounds on Twitter, Halo Infinite is going to deal with its release a little differently from previous main games in the Halo series and act more like its erstwhile compilation title, Halo Master Chief Collection. That is to say, according to this new rumor, 343 Industries reportedly plans to launch the title in four ‘chapters’ between 2021 and 2031 (yes, really). Part of this curious release campaign will see the release of a free Halo Infinite battle royale mode in 2021, which will apparently be set on the Zeta Halo ring....

One of the PS5’s launch titles, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, is expectedly a cute romp through some colourful fantasy zones. Completely out of the blue, Activision and FromSoftware today announced a free update for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, coming to all versions of the game on October 29. At the end of the EA Play Live 2020 showcase, it was announced the next Skate is in the works. Since it’s still the early days, we don’t know what it’s being called, so we will just call it Skate 4 for now. Speaking in an investors meeting, president and representative director Yosuke Matsuda said despite slight issues with bugs at launch, Outriders “has gotten off to a good start” as a new IP. Matsuda went on to say the company was pleasantly surprised as the digital sales ratio for the title has been very high, and the number of active users has also beaten company expectations. Square also believes its decision to make the game available through Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass as soon as the title launched also worked in its favor of building an install base....

I imagine we’re all familiar with the meme of calling any game with the faintest of connections to the Soulsborne series a Souls-like. If it has stamina-based combat, it’s a Souls-like.
