According to documents dug up by TechRaptor, Monster Energy contested Ubisoft’s trademark for Gods and Monsters, leading to the game’s name being changed to Immortals: Fenyx Rising. Monster Energy claimed the game’s original name would cause confusion due to its various trademarks using the word Monster.
