According to a Bloomberg report, Mike Laidlaw was working on the RPG title codenamed Avalon, but it was canceled by Ubisoft’s former chief creative officer, Serge Hascoet. Hascoet, as you know, was also the one who put the kibosh on having Kassandra as the only lead in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey as “women don’t sell.” The report states that Avalon was a “big-budget adventure involving stories of King Arthur and his Round Table,” set in a fantasy world....

The latest skin pack for Mortal Kombat 11 brings a few classic look to NetherRealm’s bloody brawler. The Klassic MK Skin Pack introduces the voices and likenesses of Christopher Lambert, Linden Ashby, and Bridgette Wilson-Sampras from the iconic 1995 Mortal Kombat film to the game for Raiden, Johnny Cage, and Sonya Blade respectively. These skins are known as “Protector of Earthrealm Raiden,” “Hollywood Kombatant Johnny Cage” and “Island Bound Sonya Blade....

Last week EA shared a few announcements related to its life-sim series, including a very early look at the next game, currently titled Project Rene. The Sims is known for having quite a big and proactive community, with Sims content creators often actually brought in for consulting work, and frequently featured in events like these. And, it turns out, one of the game’s most recongisable areas was being updated right up until the last minute. Leyndell, the Royal Capital is a vast, complex legacy dungeon, which players arrive at fairly late into the game. In Elden Ring’s 1.0 version - the one that shipped on disc - Leyndell is a little different from the one players have been visiting since the days of release. Originally set for release on November 11, the game was given a new release window this evening during the PlayStation Showcase. According to Rockstar, the delay came down to the game needing a few additional months for polishing and fine-tuning. To hold us over though, a new trailer showing off the refined version was released. Fortnite players can participate in a new tournament called the #FreeFortnite Cup, and it’s being held this weekend. During the four-hour event on August 23, participants can earn prizes such as the Tart Tycoon Outfit from Epic’s 1984 Apple parody. Players can also win real prizes such as this hat. It is now possible to create a wishlist on the Epic Games Store, thanks to a new update. The feature is available to anyone logged into the store using their account, and on the client itself. All game pages now have a toggle (heart icon) you can click to instantly wishlist the game. This list can be viewed under Library on the client, or through a new dedicated page on the store....

Epic Games has noted that players earlier in the year experienced issues receiving their Fortnite Crew rewards. The company also noted users were having a hard time unsubscribing on Xbox. To make up for the issues, all past and present Fortnite Crew members are being handed an exclusive new Emote called Members Only. Past, present, and new Fortnite Crew members will receive the Emote upon logging in anytime from now until February 15....

An upcoming Fall Guys update will include a level with nothing but big fans. Called Fan Big Yeet Little update, the Big Fans level will find you running across spinning blades and comes out next week as part of Season 2. It also features the spinning hammer Lil Yeety. Update: Mediatonic has confirmed that Fall Guys’ Season 5 will kick off Tuesday, July 20. Not only that, the developer will give everyone a first look at everything new this season in a special livestream on Monday, July 19. He then proceeded to ask show host Elton “where the hell is GTA 6?” The contestant was particularly alarmed by the way Taser took the stage, but Elton seemed like he’d seen this fervour before. Via a short clip shared on Dragon_GameDev2’s Twitter account, the devloper behind this fan game, we can see multiple pokemon taken out with a variety of weapons. This includes pistols, shotguns, and a variety of automatic weapons. The original tweet is currently sitting at 81,000 likes and 28,000 retweets. As much as we’d love to get our hands on the game, it’s probably best for the creator that this game not be released to the public....
