Following news that both The Last of Us Part 2 and Iron Man VR have been delayed indefinitely, Sony has now confirmed that anyone who pre-ordered either game digitally will receive a full refund. The official PlayStation Support page reveals that refunds will be issued automatically, so you don’t have to contact support to get it. If you pre-ordered your copy through the PlayStation Store, you should receive an email soon with all the details....

Hwang, the energetic Korean swordsman, is set to arrive in SoulCalibur 6 on December 2 alongside a big patch that’ll introduce a slew of new content to the game, too. Though Hwang will be paid-for as part of the game’s second season pass, the patch that introduces him to the game will be brimming with free content, including a new stage called Motien Pass Ruins, Seong Mi-Na’s classic costume parts, more Create a Soul parts inspired by the Tekken series, and new Mitsurugi and Nightmare episodes to boot....

After a laughably weak-handed E3 reveal of the Final Fantasy 1-6 Pixel Remasters, yesterday Square Enix unceremoniously dropped a bunch of new information on the hotly-anticipated rereleases. A steam page update revealed the release dates of the first three (this month!), teased that the latter three were ‘coming soon’, and revealed a bunch of full-screen, direct-feed images, finally giving fans a closer look at the games beyond doing ultra-nerd analysis on trailer freeze-frames....

Alpha 3.9: Locked Up and Loaded adds new gameplay systems, locations, missions, and more to Star Citizen. Today’s launch means more expanded experiences and “deeper immersion” based on community input and feedback. The update also introduces the Klescher Prison system, new criminal and bounty missions, a new landing zone, the Esperia Prowler ship, a new unified friends list, streamlined weapon attachment UI, and plenty of quality of life improvements. Star Wars: Squadrons developer Motive made some very specific decisions when designing the game. The biggest one is the perspective, which, as some players predicted, is always locked to first-person. Outside of the spectator mode, players have no way of playing in third-person/chase cam. Creative director Ian Frazier confirmed this crucial detail in an interview with Gamespot, and explained why third-person is a no-go. There’s obviously the balance side of the argument, as third-person offers far clearer information at a much lower risk compared to first-person....

A physical edition of the very popular Stardew Valley will be released on November 6, and there is also a Collector’s Edition coming. The standard edition for Switch will run you $34 and $29 on PC. A Collector’s Edition to be made available will run you $64 on PC and $69 on Switch. It contains some rather cute items, such as a six-piece wooden standee featuring the Farm, a cow, chicken, goat, your dog, and a scarecrow....

If you’re reading this now, and you’re into games, you were likely logged into Steam, though. For the first time ever, Valve’s PC platform managed to attract over 30 million users all at the same time. For context, that’s more than the populations of all 50 US states (excluding California). You’d need to gather everyone from the US’ most 16 populous cities in order to reach 30 million – and all those people were on Steam at the same time this weekend....

Long before even half the characters planned for Street Fighter 6 became playable during betas, before trailers for the entire cast was released, people were picking apart the game and its mechanics. They are training, and even playing online via third-party tools, getting ready for the full launch of the game in illicit online backrooms. For many Street Fighter 6, or at least a very early version of it, has been out for months....

I’ve already played Street Fighter 6, of course. But this new sit-down, with a Tokyo Game Show build of the game, is a slightly updated and different build to the one I spent an hour or so with before. Here’s what’s new this time around: Four additional playable characters, bringing the total in this version of the game to eight. The newcomers are; Juri of SF4 fame, two SF2 characters in Guile and Ken, and SF6 newcomer Kimberly....

The portfolio of artist Joel Dos Reis Viegas captured the attention of hungry comic book game fans this week when they discovered concept art for what looks to be a Superman game. Spotted by @Tatlinsky, Viegas’ page on Feerik Art has a whole folder on their work with Warner Bros. Montreal. The Superman piece in question is under the Batman folder, which includes various other concept pieces for Arkham Knight and Arkham Origins....

Those with a Switch Online subscription will have four new games to play next week. Starting September 23, the classic Super NES game Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest arrives on Switch. Join Dixie Kong and Diddy on their adventures as they try to rescue Donkey Kong who has been abducted by King K. Rool. You can play the game solo or with a friend. In addition, the puzzle game Mario’s Super Picross and the cult beat-’em-up The Peace Keepers are also joining the roster alongside sci-fi shoot-’em-up S....

The Torch God event can easily be started by players when they place a considerable amount of torches in an underground biome. Once the torches have been placed, you’ll need to dodge fireballs until all the torches are extinguished to receive the Torch God’s Favor, which comes with a unique buff. It’s an endurance event, so having decent armour and accessories that boost defence would be a good place to start....

Alongside the announcement, studio founder Andrew Spinks tweeted out a screenshot of the Terraria’s game creation window which shows Journey and a new Master mode added to the list of difficulty options. So far there is no word on when we might see the update hit other platforms. Re-Logic have previously stated that Journey’s End will come to consoles, mobile, and Switch, “but likely not at the exact same time....

When we last saw Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, Nacon promised to show us more in July. Well, the time has now come, and today on the Nacon Connect livestream, we got a new look at the upcoming game. Unfortunately, today’s show did not bring us the gameplay footage we’ve been looking forward to. We’ve yet again been treated to a CG trailer that looks to be an extended cut of the one we saw in April featuring the same two cars....

That’s according to an ESRB rating dug up by Gematsu which lists the game for PS4 and PS5. The same listing popped up in Taiwan back in December. The Ascent is an isometric shooter RPG set in a cyberpunk metropolis where mega-corporations rule a world, one where everyone works for them in a form of indentured servitude, paying off the debt they owe to those same corporations for bringing them to Veles....

Albedo may not have complex talents, but one difference in his latest rerun is the important role elemental mastery plays now. One of Albedo’s passive talents makes him a strong fit for Dendro teams in need of an extra boost or even teams with Cyno as their main DPS.
