Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was the most downloaded game on the PlayStation Store in 2020 on PS5 in both the US and Europe. The game also topped the PS4 chart in the US. On PS5, the second most downloaded game was Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales in the US and Europe. PS4 users in Europe downloaded FIFA 21 enough to make it top the charts, and it was followed by FIFA 20 in second place....

The leak of the cancelled game, Warcraft: Lord of the Clans, appeared online back in 2016, though while very playable, cutscenes were very crunchy and low-resolution, with audio not quite synced, and some cutscenes were simply missing. However, as reported by PC Gamer and first spotted by IndieRetroNews, a fan has spent the past six years remastering all of the cutscenes to make it a bit more enjoyable to experience....
Polish games firm CD Projekt has said that the next patch for Cyberpunk 2077 will be coming out slightly later than anticipated. In a post on Twitter, the studio said that Patch 1.2 would be delayed, partly because of the recent cyber attack that the firm was victim to. CD Projekt said that the upcoming update would go “beyond any of our previous updates,” introducing numerous fixes and improvements. The studio revealed at the start of February that someone had hacked into its IT infrastructure and had made off with source code for Cyberpunk 2o77, two versions of The Witcher 3 - one of which was unreleased and supported raytracing - as well as free-to-play card game Gwent....
Just yesterday, CD Projekt Red published official tools and resources for players eager to modify its sci-fi RPG to better suit their tastes. We imagine the developer intended for players to use the tools to make the game perform slightly better or add fun new ideas to the game, but already the company has had to pull one mod from the internet. The mod attracted concern from the developer because it allows you to swap character skin textures between models....

Cheating in Call of Duty is nothing new – in fact, earlier this year, Activision was forced to take down an ‘undetectable’ cross-platform Warzone cheat. Warzone lead developer Raven has also noted that cheaters ‘have ruined some of their best work’ in the past, too....

In this Cyberpunk 2077 video shown during the latest Night City Wire, you’re given a look at some of the vehicles at your disposal which will help you traverse the city and surrounding areas. Each one will not only look unique but provide a “unique driving experience.” There’s everything from the less expensive economy cars to clunkers. There’s also the executive class of cars which are built to impress, and there are also trucks and tanks available built for power and brute force....
This is a multiplayer-centric take on the classic RTS genre that features a number of asymmetric, co-op game modes. Dwarfheim is developed by Norwegian studio Pineleaf, while Merge is handling publishing duties, and was revealed at the PC Gaming Show in June. The title comes to Steam Early Access with a number of different modes. Conquest is a co-op multiplayer game type where players have to work together to destroy their enemies and their Town Hall....
Crosscode, the 2D action RPG from Radical Fish, is one of over a hundred other games available on Xbox Game Pass. Crosscode is also one of several playable across both PC and Xbox Game Pass. In an interview with Duel Screens, studio co-founder Felix Klein talked a little bit about the team’s experience with releasing its game on Game Pass. Klein explained that Microsoft approached Crosscode publisher Deck13 with an offer, which is typically a sum of money paid upfront - essentially a fee for making the content available on Game Pass....

Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red has dropped a new batch of concept art showing one of the districts in the game. After last week’s wealthy playground Westbrook, this week we get to see a drastically different part of Night City. Santo Domingo is a smog-covered, polluted area that corporations use to test industrial projects. “Corporations destroy old factories just to build new ones,” CD Projekt Red wrote. The crowded mega-towers in the distance are reminiscent of Judge Dredd....
Cyberpunk 2077 seems to have rather robust character customization options, to the point you can choose how your character’s pubic hair looks. There will apparently be five different types, according to a preview on Kotaku Australia. The article never mentioned whether or not there is a scorched earth option, but you never know - there could be one. Along with being able to decide how your nether-hair looks, there will be various skin types, eyes, brows, mouths, jaws, ears, and a multitude of hairstyles....
Update: CD Projekt Red has responded to the news on Twitter, confirming the removal. Interestingly, the company reminded players that they can buy the game at brick and mortar stores.
