Various court documents have revealed that Valve has been subpoenaed by Apple for Steam commercial data, with Tim Cook’s tech giant requesting years of in-depth sales information from the Steam platform owner. “Apple and Valve have engaged in several meet and confers, but Valve has refused to produce information responsive to Requests 2 and 32,” says the joint discovery letter. Apple notes that “Epic’s various mobile and non-mobile distribution options are central to disputed issues of market definition and market power....

Late last week, Apple pulled Fortnite off the App Store after developer Epic Games violated its rules by allowing players to bypass the store’s built-in payment system. Epic anticipated that move, swiftly filing legal papers against Apple, and mobilised fans to put pressure on the tech giant as part of the #FreeFortnite campaign. On Monday, Apple informed Epic Games that next Friday, August 28, it will terminate Epic’s developer accounts and completely cut it off from iOS and Mac development tools....

So why did I simply not feel the love for F.I.S.T., a game that on paper I should have really enjoyed? I haven’t seen all that F.I.S.T. has to offer, but my lack of enthusiasm after four hours or so is down to two key things: combat and that magical sense of exploration found in the very best metroidvanias. Combat in F.I.S.T. centres on whichever oversized weapon/tool you are carrying, be it a fist, drill, or whip....
