Announced back in January, Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Call of the Mountain is a new adventure starring the protagonist Ryas. In the game, you will see the world through the eyes of Ryas, a former Shadow Carja Warrior who hopes to redeem himself by investigating a threat to the Sundom. He is great at archery, scaling dangerous mountains, and taking down machines such as Thunderjaw. Throughout your journey, you will use and master various tools and weapons and even use materials to craft additional gear....

At today’s PS5 event, Sony dropped a big bomb in revealing a sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn, coming exclusively to PS5 called Horizon Forbidden West. Today, Guerrilla Games gave us a first look at the long rumoured game. You can catch all the announcements from the massive PS5 games reveal event here. Get on it.

How do you unlock Mjolnier in Ark Survival Evolved? Mjolnir is a skin for the Tek Sword, so you’ll naturally need that first. You also need to complete all boss battles that award you with ascensions and be at least level 190. You’ll probably do most of these things as you play through the game naturally, but there’s another grinder, more time-consuming requirement as well. You need to find all 200 Fjordur Runes....

The last time I played Humankind, the new Civilization-like 4X game from Amplitude Studios and Sega, I described it as “complex, clever, and more unique than you might think”. Back then, in a more limited early-game hands-on, I could only see the teases of true depth at the edges of the playable section. Now, in a new hands-on, I’ve been able to see Humankind’s depth and complexity right into the mid-game....

Next-gen prices have been creeping up for the last few years, and, like the proverbial boiling lobster, most have found the change gradual enough to stomach. The ultimate cost is less in quality, and more in variety. Jett: The Far Shore was one of the more striking indie reveals on the PS5 showcase. Superbrothers, the co-creator of Sword & Sworcery, return with this cinematic action adventure coming to PC, PS4 and PS5 this holiday. In The Far Shore, we play as Mei, who sets out to explore an ocean planet with the help of the titular Jett. As she explores and catalogues what she comes across, she’s also trying to figure out the reason humanity was invited to this planet....

Originally slated for a holiday 2020 release, Kena: Bridge of Spirits is a story-driven action-adventure that features exploration, puzzle-solving, and combat. It has all the ingredients to be a cold-hard classic then (especially when you factor in that gorgeous, Dreamworks-esque art style), but have critics decided it’s any good? So far, it’s looking healthy. The game was first unveiled during PlayStation’s June 2020 during PS5 Showcase. It was delayed from its planned 2020 release date into Q1 2021, then it was delayed to August, and finally it was pushed back once more to September....

Take-Two-’s publishing label, Private Division, has announced the establishment of a new studio that’s going to be responsible for Kerbal Space Program going forward. Located in Seattle, the unnamed studio will assume control of Kerbal Space Program 2’s development, taking over from Star Theory, the game’s former team. Studio head Jeremy Ables, creative director Nate Simpson, and lead producer Nate Robinson are all moving over from Star Theory to lead the new team....

Following the game’s release on March 25, there has been a scattering of codes available to players so they can grab some extra items. HAL Laboratories, developer behind the Kirby series, has used codes before - ‘Present Codes’ were available in past titles, and are created and distributed by the devs. These codes will likely be released after milestones or celebrations, and will provide free Boosts and Cakes, Star Coins or other rare items to amplify abilities in Kirby and the Forgotten Land...

Kirby Café is a pop-up store in Tokyo and Hakata selling souvenirs and snacks, with an online pop-up also available for ordering dreamy merch inspired by Kirby and pals. To commemorate Kirby’s 30th anniversary, Kirby Café announced that they’ll be serving a new limited menu and have popped some new merch on their store. There’s only two words for the menu, however, and they’re mouthful mode. Kirby Café first opened its doors in 2016, allowing fans to go sit back with a tasty treat, in the form of Kirby and their pals....

Kojima Productions has been fairly quiet since the release of Death Stranding. Though there have been some cryptic teasers here, and rumours of unsuccessful partnerships there, we’re still not sure what Hideo Kojima and co. are currently working on. But, according to studio art director and Kojima collaborator, Yoji Shinkawa, the team’s next project will be announced soon. Shinkawa was interviewed by Al Hub (via VGC) about a wide range of topics....

If you’ve fallen out of the loop with what Humble has been up to lately, it recently changed its regular Humble Monthly bundles to this new Humble Choice format. In this introductory sequence, you will become acquainted with the character you’ll guide through the bio-labyrinth. The game features no assistance as you work your way into the depths of the game’s world, equipping yourself with odd tools and solving a gruesome puzzle that “only hints towards things to come.” During your journey through this nightmarish world, you will come to understand the character you’re guiding while you learn the rules and master puzzles without any guidance....

The video also covers the skill tree and upgrades. The game features an all-new battle system and skill tree upgrades, allowing you to fight strategically. You can combine moves such as dodges, parries, counters, combos, and the new Cyloop ability to take down foes and titans. Sonic Frontiers will mark the first time a Skill Tree has been included in a Sonic game. It allows for powerful new abilities that can be unlocked by collecting enough Skill Pieces from fallen enemies, as well as breakable items around the islands (thanks, Gematsu)....

Set to be released on February 1, LEGO Overwatch 2 Titan (76980) was revealed back in December, and Titan was to be the first of the series to launch this year. But, LEGO has now decided to delay Titan due to the ongoing situation at ActiBlizz. “We are currently reviewing our partnership with Activision Blizzard, given concerns about the progress being made to address continuing allegations regarding workplace culture, especially the treatment of female colleagues and creating a diverse and inclusive environment,” said the company (via TheBrickFan)....

Lego has always had an interesting relationship with video games. On one hand, the company naturally sees video games as competition: when Lego’s financial results declined for the first time in 13 years (half a decade ago), one market factor the company pointed the finger at was kids playing more video games. At the same time, however, gaming has become an inexctricable part of Lego’s business. We now get a high-quality Lego-based video game at least every couple of years – and quite often more frequently than that....

Red Orb took to Twitter to share the exploit and immediately coined it ‘Child Flight’. It’s a pretty fitting name, there’s no denying that. The clip shows Qui-Gon Jinn repeatedly attacking young Anakin in the Federal District using their lightsaber, and it soon becomes clear that this version of Anakin is immune to friendly fire. So, as Red Orb discovered, when hitting him over and over, a momentum is gained that allows Qui-Gon Jinn to fly across a space....

After some delays, it seems New World Interactive will finally release the console version of Insurgency: Sandstorm this fall. This is according to a tweet from Maximum Games, a publisher that works with Focus Home Interactive, Bigben Interactive, Deep Silver, FunCom, and many others (thanks, TSA). The company posted a link to the retail site GAME, which has a release date of September 29 noted on the pre-order page. We’ve sent a mail to Focus Interactive regarding the console release date listed, just to make sure the date isn’t just a GAME placeholder....
