Battlestate Games has detailed update 0.12.7, coming soon to Escape from Tarkov. Though the patch does not yet have a solid release date, the developer confirmed the biggest-ticket additions and changes arriving with it. This is not the one that adds the anticipated Streets of Tarkov map, however. What is dropping with the patch is the promised expansion to the game’s Customs map. Customs’ industrial area, south of the construction site, is expanding....

The LEGO NES is a brick-built model kitted out with an ’80s style TV - also made of LEGO, obviously. It’s being launched as part of the next step in the brickbuster giant’s Super Mario Bros. partnership with Nintendo, and despite being made of plastic bricks with little studs on top, it’s mechanically-functional. “The new NES Building Kit will include a controller with a connecting cable and plug and even an opening slot for the Game Pak with a locking feature,” reads an official press release....

Casey Hudson, BioWare’s most recognisable face, and longtime studio GM, left the studio in December last year to try something different. The veteran developer luckily won’t be be leaving games behind, however. Hudson announced his return to the world of game development under a new banner: Humanoid Studios, his new venture, which is going to be working on a new IP. Humanoid is based in Canada, with offices in British Columbia, and Alberta....

Exit the Gungeon, the side story from Enter the Gungeon developers, takes place after the events of the main game. It is a side-scrolling action game that condenses many of Enter the Gungeon’s mechanics into a smaller play area. Previously an Apple Arcade exclusive, Exit the Gungeon surprise launched on Switch following the Direct, and it’s available now on PC as well. The Last Campfire is the next game from No Mans Sky’s Hello Games, and it was officially confirmed for Switch as part of the Indie World Direct....

September 2 is a busy day, and it will see four games drop for the service. First up is Craftopia for Cloud, Console, and PC. Final Fantasy 13 will also arrive for Console and PC. and here you will struggle against fate in the sky city of Cocoon and the primeval world of Pulse as the heroine Lightning....

Over the weekend, Square Enix has been celebrating all things Final Fantasy 14 at the Final Fantasy 14 Fanfest, an annual event that has become immensely popular amongst the game’s growing fanbase. During the event, the developer announced the official launch date of the title for PS5: May 25. The game’s next big expansion, Endwalker, will drop on November 23. The PlayStation 5 version of the popular fantasy MMO features faster load times, 4K resolution, a high-resolution UI, DualSense support, new trophies, and 3D audio support....

The game stars a young man and his Chocobo, who find themselves drawn toward friends that will change their destiny. In the game, the wind currents begin to slow and stale which worries the king, Tycoon. To find out what’s going on, he heads to the Wind Shrine only to see the Wind Crystal shatter upon his arrival. During this time, the young man Bartz witnesses a meteorite hit outside the castle and goes to investigate....

Prior to the last month, I’d dabbled with VR. I wouldn’t say I was a VR convert or evangelist, but the time I’d spent with PlayStation VR and a couple of PC VR headsets was impressive. Not impressive enough for me to invest myself mind you. PS VR was the most in reach for people, thanks to not requiring a reasonably decent PC to go along with it, but its wired tether and low-ish resolution made it just miss out on being wholly recommended....

One person is definitely still holding out hope for that port - former Nintendo developer Takaya Imamura, who also happens to be one of the key artists behind two fairly maligned Nintendo series - Star Fox and F-Zero. Imamura used the sixth anniversary of the release of Star Fox Zero, which is today, to call for the company to port the game to Switch. “I know there are some challenges, but please port the game to Switch,” Imamura wrote on his twitter account....

Dark Passenger, the name of the new studio, is led by Jakub Ben and Marcin Michalski, the former having worked as a cinematic artist on The Witcher 3, the latter an animator on Cyberpunk. As reported by PCGamesN, the studio’s website describes it as being made up of “gamedev veterans and fresh blood specialists.” While the name of the studio’s first project hasn’t been revealed yet, Dark Passenger has gone into some detail as to what the game will be like....

Starting May 4, a selection of Star Wars outfits and lightsabers will be available in Fortnite’s in-game shop. This will feature the return of Rey, Kylo Ren, and Sith Trooper outfits which were previously included in its store last year ahead of the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. “Fulfill your destiny. The next Forza Motorsport is in the works as was announced during the Xbox Showcase, and it will run in native 4K at 60fps and will make use of ray tracing. Currently, in early development, it is a reimagining of the series. A release date for the Xbox Series X title was not provided, but you will be able to play it day one through Xbox Games Pass.

G2A is a marketplace where anyone could sell and buy game keys, mostly for PC games. The site came under fire last year after a number of developers accused it of enabling stolen keys to be peddled on its marketplace. Following a clash with indie developers and the press - and in a show of goodwill, the company behind G2A pledged to pay developers ten times the value of their stolen keys, if it can be proven that said keys were sold on G2A....

miHoYo announced today that its popular open-world action RPG title, Genshin Impact, will be arriving on the Epic Games Store on June 9, coinciding with the release of the game’s Version 1.6 update. Players on Epic will be able to jump into the world of Teyvat and adventure together with players across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC, Android, and iOS. The game will feature co-op support for PlayStation, PC, Android, and iOS, and existing players on PC, Android, and iOS can continue their journey on the Epic Games Store platform....

Rukkhashava Mushroom is a Sumeru local speciality and not unlike Genshin Impact 3.0’s version of Violetgrass. They are found in far-flung places throughout the region, sometimes in clusters of very few ‘shrooms, but you need Rukkhashava Mushroom for more than just maximizing your Collei build. Along with being an ascension material, the mushrooms turn up in several Sumeru recipes, so plan on doing a fair bit of Rukkhashava Mushroom farming while you’re in Sumeru....
