According to Curve Digital, The Ascent generated $5 million during its first weekend on sale. It also secured the number one slot on the Steam Global Charts. One of the biggest contributors to the Direct was Square Enix, the Japanese RPG powerhouse that appears to be getting ever closer to Nintendo as the Switch continues to dominate Japan. Officially announced last week, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf is an upcoming animated film produced by Netflix. Today, the streaming service shared a glimpse of the story. Vesemir, Geralt’s Witcher mentor, is the star of this story, which will seemingly take place in his youth. “Long before mentoring Geralt, Vesemir begins his own journey as a Witcher after the mysterious Deglan claims him through the Law of Surprise,” the the synopsis reads....

The news comes from a post published by PlayStation vice president of UX Design Matt MacLaurin on LinkedIn, which attracted a wide variety of inquisitive commenters hungry for more details about Sony’s highly-anticipated next-gen console.
