Oculus has announced a major software upgrade for the Quest 2 is now live, and the patch has enabled Home, Guardian and Passthrough to run at 90Hz on the headset by default. A film adaptation of Metal Gear Solid has been in the works for coming up to a decade now, and Oscar Isaac joined the project back in 2020 as Solid Snake himself. The head of Sony Interactive Entertainment, Jim Ryan, has said that he looks forward to finding out if Bethesda titles like Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6 will be released on PS5. During a stream today, Nintendo announced what to expect out of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, with news on customization, a revamped Underground, and a fun sounding rhythm game. The Pokemon will be available once the Festival of Lights goes live on Friday, October 14, 2. The event will end on Monday, October 17. It’s all part of Pokemon Go’s Season of Light which kicked off on September 1. During the Festival of Lights, you’ll have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Chinchou, 2× XP for catching Pokemon, 2× Candy when catching, and Incense activated during the event will last for two hours....

During this time, the Season of Heritage Story continues with Team Leader Spark who believes the mysterious door encountered during part one requires the help of Rock- and Steel-type Pokemon to unlock it. Pokemon from the regions of Johto and Sinnoh will be more prevelent during this time such as Zubat, Machop, Nosepass, Barboach, and Geodude. And a shiny Slugma will make its appearance for the first time, so if you are lucky, you may catch one....

The October Community Day is set for the 9th, and will run from 11am to 5pm local time. During this time, the Pokemon will be appearing more frequently in the wild, and if you are lucky, you may even encounter one that is shiny. If you evolve Duskull’s evolution Dusclops during the event or up to two hours afterward to Dusknoir, it will know the Charged Attack Shadow Ball. To help evolve Duslops into Dusknoir, you will be able to earn up to four Sinnoh Stones by completing free Timed Research during the Community Day....
