One Youtuber — Lethal Panda — has multiple videos uploaded on the Cronus Zen, including one that shows how to set up a “soft aimbot” for Warzone 2, by using the Cronus Zen to counteract weapon recoil. For those who don’t know, hardware like the Cronus Zen has been a thorn in the side of fair online players in Warzone (and numerous other FPS games out there). It allows you to alter the input of your chosen controller through scripts that can alter all manner of actions in-game, the most obvious of which is recoil....

Baldur’s Gate 3 developer Larian has outlined plans for the game’s next patch, tentatively titled Patch 3. The update will be the first to actually bring changes to the game’s story. Unfortunately, this means past saves may not be compatible with the game after Patch 3 has been installed. This is going to be the case with other future patches, as Larian sees this evolution to be part of the early access process....

Seemingly taking inspiration from other retro classics that have all been hopping on the battle royale bandwagon lately (looking at you Tetris 99 and Super Mario Bros. 35), Pac-Man 99 shoves you and 99 other players into a lobby and tests you to see who the last one munching away is going to be. It works similarly to Tetris 99, really – each player has their own screen, but gobbling a power pellet, eating ghosts, and sending ‘Jammer Pac-Man’ over to enemies’ screens is all part of the play....

Last week was particularly stressful for Battlefield fans and developer DICE. The studio announced delaying the game’s first season by several months. What many believed would arrive in March is now landing sometime around June. The developer will instead use this break to address longstanding issues, and potentially change some of the most controversial design decisions made during the development of Battlefield 2042. Meanwhile, publisher EA all but pretended the game doesn’t exist at all in its financial reports and releases for Q3....

Following a delay, EA’s digital-only Play event will take place this Thursday. Among the usual suspects, we’re also getting a fresh look at several EA Originals games. In celebration of the new Season One launch, and the holidays, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has kicked off a week-long free multiplayer promo. For a full week: Thursday, December 17 to Thursday, December 24, select multiplayer playlists will be available to play for everyone, regardless of whether or not they own the full game. This promotion has already gone live, available on all platforms. Activision is splitting the week into two stages....

Yesterday, Activision started teasing the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone season with notifications sent out via the Call of Duty mobile app. The notification indicated some sort of intel would be released on May 21, which is today. Well, today, a newsletter with a link taking you to a Call of Duty website was sent out. When visiting the website, you are met with the following video: As noted by Charlie Intel, the video seems to tease Price as an Operator for Season 4....

That’s according to publisher Activision, who told investors – as transcribed by Seeking Alpha – that Modern Warfare had smashed series records. Notably, the firm didn’t actually put a figure on how many copies it had shifted in the last 12 months, but two-thirds of these purchases were made digitally. The company also boasts that the premium Modern Warfare and the free-to-play battle royale Warzone have “more than three times” the number of monthly players for the three months ending September 30 than the previous year....

Kicking off today (December 16) and ending on the 21, the free access event means interested players can get limited access to Vanguard’s multiplayer, which includes the following playlists: The Free Kills playlist which is a mix of Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Hardpoint. Champions Hill playlist - Vanguard’s Gunfight-style tournament mode. Shipmas 24/7 playlist, which sees classic map Shipment getting a festive makeover. For those who already own the game, expect to be showered in XP bonuses a-plenty for the duration of the event....

Elsewhere on the list, Forza Horizon 5 and Shin Megami Tensei 5 both had record-breaking months of their own. Forza Horizon 5 took the #4 spot for the month, making it the best launch month for the franchise. Shin Megami Tensei 5 also achieved the highest debut sales for the franchise, debuting at #16. Battlefield 2042 took the #2 slot for the month as well. With hardware sales, the Nintendo Switch was the best-selling console of the month and year-to-date, with overall hardware sales slumping 38% largely due to hardware shortages....

Playing on the new night version of Rebirth Island reveals that some POIs now have Russian letters in their names. Putting all of these letters together, you get REBIRTH FROM THE ASHES. Fortunately, some clever people — notably Twitter user @ModernWarzone — have already done the hard work of decrypting this Easter Egg....

Infinity Ward has rolled out a new update to refresh Season 5 in Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare. Apart from the new LMG, and the repurposed Trials as part of Games of Summer, there’s not a lot of new content in this one. Warzone players have King Slayer to look forward, a TDM-style mode where the play area randomly moves around the map. The patch itself is 11....
