Boundary, the zero-G FPS from indie developer Surgical Scalpels, will be offering a benchmark tool beginning September 24. The free benchmark is designed to test the ray tracing capabilities of your PC. The developer reckons the game’s real-time visual quality pushes the envelope when ray tracing is involved. It’s not exactly clear which elements of the scene are ray traced, but the developer mentioned reflections among the supported features. Boundary has always looked impressive, and ray tracing support will make it look even more stunning....

In Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, players relive the story of the series as Kakarot or, Goku. Recent Call of Duty games have received a lot of praise for the Gunsmith feature. The in-depth customization screen has given players more control over exactly how they set up their loadouts and has made it easier to see exactly what each attachment and perk changes. Now, a new patent filed by David Vonderhaar – the lead developer on the multiplayer side of many Treyarch Call of Duty games – suggests the studio is working on a feature that will allow you to share your loadout directly to social media for other players to download and use....

Earlier today, a rumor that Spider-Man was coming to Marvel’s Avengers as a PS4-exclusive character was debunked by the UK retailer who listed a description introducing the possibility in the first place. Apparently the details were old, and had not come from Crystal Dynamics directly. Since then, it has been confirmed that Spidey truly is coming to PS4 and PS4 only. He’ll websling his way towards PS4s and PS5s all over the world in early 2021, and won’t be helping the Avengers if they’re fighting baddies on other platforms....

This week on the Epic Games Store, you can grab the rather spooky Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs and micro strategy game Kingdom: New Lands. Coming next week is Costume Quest 2 alongside Layers of Fear 2. Bloober Team’s Layers of Fear 2 will be free starting on October 22. In this first-person psychological horror game, the story-driven plot stars an actor who takes on the lead role in a film set on an ocean liner....

Fortnite Impostors is suspiciously similar to the smash-hit indie game that took the world by storm last year, Among Us. In both Fortnite’s new mode and InnerSloth’s international hit, teams of players work together to either eliminate everyone else or work out who’s lying. The similarities – and the fact Epic opted to ride on the back of Among Us’ success without input from the team at InnerSloth – haven’t gone down particularly well with the staff at the indie studio....

When you first arrive on your Animal Crossing deserted island getaway, you won’t have much to your name. A tent, which you freely place, and likewise tents for your neighbors. In a central position in town, which will vary depending on your choice of starting island, there’ll be the town square and the residential services tent. Later, that tent will become a building - and the town square, residential services and the airport through which you arrived are the only immovable buildings in the game....

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Siege of Paris DLC review Like the previous DLC pack, Wrath of the Druids, Siege of Paris slots seamlessly into the main game, playing out like one of Valhalla’s other arcs as Eivor travels to new lands to play kingmaker and secure an alliance in the region. And if Siege of Paris was one the main game’s arcs, it’d easily be the best. Thanks to a reworked mission structure, a lesser reliance on padding, and plenty of meaningful choices, this DLC is a strong addition to Valhalla as a whole....

Right. So. Auto Chess is being turned into a MOBA. The news was broken earlier this month by publisher Dragonest - as spotted by Kotaku - which said that that it would be adapted into a MOBA title featuring all the of the characters and heroes from the Auto Chess game. The title will apparently be free, boast both day and night versions as well as destructible objects. In a video, Dragonest said one of Auto Chess MOBA’s core design pillars was “fairness,” meaning no pay-to-win mechanics....
