But at least Nintendo is attempting to tackle the issue. In a new interview with The Verge, Nintendo of America boss Doug Bowser has stated that the company is making “continuous improvements” to Joy-Con controllers in efforts to prevent the infamous hardware fault. “As we’ve gone through the first five and a half years of the Nintendo Switch, we’ve observed gameplay, we’ve observed as people have returned units how they’ve worn, and we’ve been making continuous improvements overall to the Joy-Con, including the analog stick,” he told the site....

Nintendo is taking an online store to court for selling software that can get around the Switch’s “technological protection measures.” Nintendo says that by deactivating its protection measures, RCM Loader is “causing widespread piracy of Nintendo’s copyrighted video games.” The platform has described video game piracy as a “serious, worsening international problem.” Nintendo is hoping to have the court stop Le Hoang Minh from selling RCM Loaders and award it $2,500 for every infringement....

The recently announced Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 remasters include all content in the original games, and all of it will be available to everyone at launch. Overwatch will be free to play for Switch Online subscribers for an entire week starting on October 13. The free week will end on October 20. During this time it’s also possible the annual Halloween Terror event will start, going by previous dates. Blizzard has yet to announce when the event will kick-off, so we’re just speculating due to the launch history. At any rate, Switch Online players will be able to try out all sorts of characters, the story, and experience multiplayer battles....

Durning the Indies Showcase, Nintendo announced some indie games coming to Switch in the near future. One of these is Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals from Night School Studio. The supernatural narrative adventure game tells the tale of a researcher who stumbles upon ghostly happenings. Taking place five years after Oxenfree, in it, Riley returns to her hometown of Camena to investigate mysterious radio frequency signals causing curious disturbances. Oxenfree 2 is coming to Switch sometime this year and presumably other platforms....
