Anti-tamper company Denuvo has brought its tools to fight cheating to PS5. The firm has joined the console’s tool and middleware scheme, meaning that developers and publishers will be able to use this anti-cheat tech in their games on PlayStation 5. “Cheating ruins video games for honest players,” Denuvo MD Reinhard Blaukovitsch said. “This can lead to lower engagement, game traffic and shrinking revenues for game publishers. Apex Legends has had a bit of rough weekend. The game’s various playlists have been taken over by hackers, who removed their official descriptions and replaced it with messages urging players to “save Titanfall”. The hacked messages were initially limited to PC, but later spread to PlayStation and Xbox, according to Alpha Intel. The messages also advertised a website - SaveTitanfall.com, though hackers say they’re not affiliated with the website....

An open beta for the upcoming Magic: Legends is being rolled out on PC in the near future. That’s according to the game’s publisher Perfect World, which says that players will be able to check out the action RPG title from March 23. This is coming ahead of a full launch for PC, as well as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later in 2021. Users should head to Arc Games to try out the open beta....
