Strictly speaking, console commands aren’t true cheats, but they sure do make fights a hell of a lot easier. If you’re looking to cheese your way through XCOM: Chimera Squad without even attempting to use any strategy skills, you’ll want to use these console commands to boost your resources and gain a bunch of scopes, stocks and other items. The console commands can be used regardless of whether you’re playing on Steam or not, so let’s take a look at how to enter them....

Happy Birthday, Xenoblade. The beloved Wii role-playing adventure first released in Japan on June 10, 2010 - but it didn’t always look like it was going to be a huge hit. When it first released, in fact, Xenoblade looked as though it might be a footnote in the history of the Nintendo Wii. A spiritual successor to Square title Xenogears and the Namco-published Xenosaga series, Nintendo appeared to view the game as a niche opportunity in the west....

Previously available only through pre-ordering Yakuza: Like a Dragon, the set is now available to download for free across all platforms and versions of the game. You have until April 2 to grab the pack. The set includes eight costumes, two of which are clothing from Yakuza 0 worn by Goro Majima and Kazuma Kiryu. It also includes costumes worn by Taiga Saejima, Haruka Sawamura, Ryuji Goda, Daigo Dojima, Makoto Date, and Kaoru Sayama (thanks, TSA)....

Sega has announced that Yakuza Kiwami 2 will be released on Xbox One on July 30, and launch on Xbox Game Pass the same day. July 30 also marks the release of the Windows 10 version, which is included in Xbox Game Pass on PC. Yakuza Kiwami 2 has, of course, been available on PC through Steam for over a year, but Game Pass subscribers who do not already own it will be able to try it out as part of their subscription....

In total, there are 50 games and special editions to choose between, with many of Paradox’s biggest hits including Stellaris, Crusader Kings 2 and Pillars of Eternity all included in the Build Your Own Bundle. You’ll find all of the games already on sale with quite considerable discounts, but the real bargains come into play when you create a bundle of three. At this point, all the games you’ve chosen will be given a discount of 80 per cent....

Nintendo’s official Twitter account has sent out a nice little reminder for fans that potentially want to pick up Super Mario 3D All-Stars before it gets delisted and is no longer digitally available via the eShop. You may still be able to purchase the title physically, but Nintendo will stop producing new copies of the game. If you want the compilation game that collects Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, or Super Mario Galaxy, you’re going to have to pick it up in the next few weeks, then....

These quality of life updates to The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD are improvements made over the original Wii version. According to the video, you can expect enhanced control options, a better frame rate, skippable cutscenes, optional help from Fi, streamlined item information, and the ability to fast forward dialogue. When announced back in February, Nintendo said the game will run at 60 frames per second, and that you can choose to play using motion control with the two Joy-Con controllers in a similar way to the original....

For those unacquainted with the overarching story of the Assassin’s Creed series, Layla Hassan is a member of the Assassin’s Brotherhood. She investigates Kassandra’s memories in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and later receives the Staff of Hermes from her after exploring the Lost City of Atlantis. By the end of Odyssey, Layla becomes the “Heir of Memories,” having used the Staff of Hermes to make contact with Aletheia. Anyway, according to McDevitt, “[Fans] will soon like Layla as well....

The company is the latest to pull games off the GeForce Now service, following in the footsteps of Activision and Bethesda. “Per publisher request, please be advised 2K Games titles will be removed from GeForce Now today,” reads the forum post. “We are working with 2K Games to re-enable their games in the future.” If you use the service, this means you can no longer play BioShock, Borderlands or NBA titles....

Participants in Microsoft’s Project xCloud Preview can play the five additional games from today, one of which is the excellent A Plague Tale: Innocence. To celebrate the release of A Total War Saga: Troy, Sega and The Creative Assembly has made the game available free for the next 24 hours on the Epic Game Store. Just hit up the store and give it a download. Announced in September last year, the game puts players in the middle of the Bronze-Age Trojan War conflict. Here, you will assume the roles of Achilles, Hector, and other legendary heroes as you fight to defend Troy – or destroy it....

Activision Blizzard has revealed in a new SEC filing (via Wowhead) that it’s extending CEO Bobby Kotick’s employment. Kotick’s contract was initially set to end December 31, 2021 but has now been extended to March 31, 2023. Kotick, who has been the company’s CEO for more than 30 years will be, however, receiving a 50% cut to his base salary as well as his annual bonus. Activision Blizzard’s board has decided to do this based on shareholder feedback, to “incorporate market best practices” and in order to directly connect pay to performance....

For what seemed like weeks now, Call of Duty: Warzone has regularly been in headlines for all the wrong reasons. If you don’t count Black Ops Cold War merge growing pains, or the glitches and returning exploits, the integrity of Warzone matches has been further tarnished by a rise in cheaters. Activision never really addressed the problem, but this changes now. In a blog post, the publisher announced a couple of initiatives it hopes will seriously cut down on cheating in Warzone....

As part of Activision’s earnings report for Q4 of FY2019, the publisher talked a great deal about the success of the Call of Duty brand in both mobile free-to-play, and the premium segment for console/PC. A new premium Call of Duty game is due out this fall, as is custom. More interestingly, however, Activision did not give any hints as to which of its studios is currently working on it....

“It doesn’t matter what your rank is, what your job is,” said Townsend in an interview with the FT. “If you’ve committed some sort of misconduct or you’re a leader who has tolerated a culture that is not consistent with our values, we’re going to take action.” She went on to note that more than 20 people have, so far, been fired from the company as “more than 20 individuals faced other types of disciplinary action,” though none of the employees that have been reprimanded or fired have been named....

In a letter sent to employees today, company CEO Bobby Kotick said Activision Blizzard plans to “engage in good faith negotiations” with the CWA to enter a collective bargaining agreement. Kotick notes that while first labor contracts can take some time to complete, both sides will come to the bargaining table and work toward an agreement that “supports the success of all employees.” Kotick feels that doing so will further strengthen Activision’s “commitment to creating the industry’s best, most welcoming and inclusive workplace....

Later this week, as previously reported, GoldenEye 007 arrives for cloud and console. On January 30, the game preview title Roboquest will arrive for Xbox. Already available with PC Game Pass, in it, you blast your way through hordes of evil bots in procedurally generated environments. Playable in solo or two-player co-op, you can upgrade your build as you progress to defeat powerful bosses. The rather awesome Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition comes to cloud and Xbox on January 31....

Disruptive Games is a name you may not be familiar with, but it has a decent history of working on games (alongside their lead developers), which you probably played. Diablo 2: Resurrected, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, and Godfall are among them. The studio, based in California, is currently working on an online multiplayer action adventure game for PC and consoles. Beyond that brief tease, however, we know little else about the game....

“New World makes standard DirectX calls as provided by the Windows API. We have seen no indication of widespread issues with 3090s, either in the beta or during our many months of alpha testing. Before we even get into the weeds of this story, it’s worth pointing out that the Threadripper 3900X is some serious, hardcore kit. It’s not designed for video games. In truth, this is the sort of CPU that will be used for huge, difficult processing tasks in business and enterprise. The reviews, as gathered by PCWorld, generally indicate that it’s great for those tasks. It has an almost $4000 price tag to match....
