You’d be right to point out that no game development task is easy, of course. It’s all difficult. But in the case of Sonic Origins, Sega had been dealt a pretty strong hand to begin with; a perfect starting point for this collection. Great, high quality, modern engine versions of Sonic 1, 2, and CD already existed on mobile - and the versions in Origins have their roots there. They also had Headcannon, part of the crew behind the barnstorming Sonic Mania and familiar with the engine that powered those mobile ports, to ply for help....

Depending on your perspective, it’s a pretty good time to be a Sonic fan. Sure, Sonic Frontiers is far from perfect, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a real good time anyway. The next instalment in the film franchise is only a couple of years away too, and there’s that Knuckles spin-off series. And next month, Netflix is giving us a brand new show, Sonic Prime, which puts our favourite little quipster in quite the pickle - one where Eggman appears to rule various worlds across the multiverse....

For those of you who haven’t had a chance to see the Sonic the Hedgehog movie, and can’t now due to theaters closing all over the place, there’s a bit of good news for you. According to Variety, Paramount Pictures will release the film digitally on March 31, just 46 days after its February 14 theatrical release. The film will be made available on DVD and Blu-Ray on May 19....

After what seemed like weeks of silence, Raven Software has confirmed today that its teams are working on a weapon balance patch for Call of Duty: Warzone. The update, which does not have a release date, will target the Black Ops Cold War weapons currently ruining the game.
