Valorant, the next game from League of Legends maker Riot Games, has been officially unveiled. Valorant, previously known by its codename, Project A, is a 5v5 character-based tactical shooter due out in the summer. Much of what was in last week’s Valorant leak was accurate, but the game’s official website thankfully has a few more details. Riot’s opening salvo pitches Valorant as a precise, lethal shooter with 128Hz tickrate servers, capable of running at up to 144fps....

The trailer is very short, but it’s a reminder of how good Witchfire looks in motion, and how far it’s come since it was originally revealed. The new footage arrives in celebration of the news that Witchfire will support Nvidia’s DLSS 3 when it arrives this year. We sadly still don’t have a release date, but it’s supposed to be hitting early access on the Epic Games Store in the relatively near future....

According to a new report from Ampere Analysis, Sony’s PlayStation 5 console is so far leading Xbox Series X/S in sales during the first quarter of this calendar year. Ampere revealed that both the standard PS5, and its Digital Edition sibling have sold a combined 2.83 million units to consumers by the end of March. This is over twice as much as Xbox Series X/S’ sales tally so far, which comes out at 1....

At The Game Awards 2020 ceremony, Sony announced that Returnal, Housemarque’s new roguelike shooter, will be available March 19 only on PS5. Returnal was announced back in June. It is Housemarque’s most ambitious game to date, bringing together elements from the team’s history with arcade-style games and pushing forward in terms of production value and scope. Housemarque is also attempting to tell a story with its world, something the studio rarely does....

Sony has today announced that the PlayStation 5 is its biggest console launch ever. The platform holder did not reveal any sales/shipment figures, exact or estimated, however. Sony broke the news in a Tweet moments ago, adding that demand for the next-gen console has been “unprecedented,” and assuring fans that more PS5 stock will arrive at retailers before the end of the year. Word is spreading that Sony’s new PS5 might have bug that interferes with downloads. It appears there is a chance you can get stuck in an error loop when downloading games that stops you from actually gaining access to a title. Three members of IGN staff have encountered the problem. When a game is first set to download, it can get stuck with either an error or ‘Queued for Download’ message....

How do you get the Recycler in Raft? You need to build the Recycler first, and for that, you need a Recycler blueprint. Travel to the Radio Tower, the first major location from early in the game and the same place you find Tala, and climb up to the top of the tower to find the blueprint. To make the Recycler, you need to study the blueprint at a research table....

A July release window was provided for Resident Evil Re:Verse, the multiplayer shooter free with every copy of Resident Evil Village. Originally slated for May, in it, six players engage in deathmatches that allow them to mutate into various Resident Evil monsters in order to win. In a new post over on Reddit, the studio has gone into detail about how it’ll resolve a problem in the game for players that suffered the infamous inventory wipe bug that plagued the game at launch. “Items granted will have the same attribute combinations but with god roll values,” says the update from the developer. “This means that these items will be at least the same if not better quality than the originally lost items....

Returnal, the new game from Housemarque, has been fairly well received thus far. Though the studio’s decision to make a rogue-like certainly faced some criticism, one feature - or lack thereof - is responsible for a lot of the negativity around the game. As pointed out in early reviews, including our own, Returnal does not allow players to save their progress mid-run. The main thing that carries over between runs is a single currency, as well as some story-specific and gameplay progression-specific items....

In development at Cyanide and Leikir and previously revealed during the PC Gaming show, Rogue Lords takes place in a Baroque and Gothic 17th century New England. In it, you play as the devil, who has returned to earth to “fight the forces of good.” The game has you recruiting famous “evil geniuses” and guiding them in events and turn-based combat through a procedurally generated world. “We’re pleased to announce that all of our future physical releases of PC games will be launched in fully recycled packaging!” Sega revealed today. The packaging will be 100 percent recycled - including its manual - and uses recyclable cardboard. Printing on the package will use water and vegetable-based inks, and will include shrink-wrap with low-density polyethylene. Even the disc can be recycled “via specialists,” according to the company. “While this approach does come at an extra cost to Sega Europe, this is in part offset by cheaper distribution,” says Sega....

The Sister of the Thorn is a new career for Kerillian in Warhammer: Vermintide 2 that brings new abilities, weapon types, talent tree, character skin, challenges as well as a new hat and new voice lines. Kerillian will use magic in a greater way than ever before, allowing the character to bring the “heaviest support of all careers in the game.” The Sister of the Thorn is available for purchase on Steam today, and console players can fig into the new career on June 30....

Regardless of how believable this particular story is, Aaronfrogger did manage to snap a few screenshots of various areas of the game, including maps not seen in the beta, Portal mode, the game’s menus, as well as what looks to be the full set of weapons available at launch. Assuming that what we’re looking at won’t be expanded with a day one patch, the list of weapons is particularly slim....

PT arrived as an obscure demo in 2014. It wasn’t until a short while later that someone figured the enigma out, and realised it was for an upcoming Silent Hill game. Then, Silent Hills was cancelled after a fallout between Konami and Hideo Kojima, leaving PT to be removed from the PlayStation Store and to fade into obscurity. That said, people have been chasing the PT high ever since. There’s been various PC clones of the demo, many of them great but none of them perfect, and of course, in light of news regarding a jailbreak for the PS5, many tried their luck at installing PT once more....
