Gundam Evolution is a 5v5 first-person shooter in the same vein as Overwatch and Team Fortress 2, where each player takes the role of a different Gundam, each with their own anime-faithful weapons and abilities. Once you’ve got a team together, you battle in a variety of game modes including Point Capture, Domination, and Destruction which is like Search and Destroy game modes in other FPS titles....

Developer Valve has released a huge look at the production of Half-Life: Alyx in a new update for the game. Players can now don a headset (or not) and walk around the world, being guided by the developers who helped create it. As you play, you will bump into audio that teaches you something about how the scene or section was made. In the update, Valve revealed the feature which will guide players through the development process of the game....

Geoff Keighley’s Half-Life: Alyx - Final Hours documentary book contains interesting insight into just what Valve has been doing in all the years the developer hadn’t released a game. As reported by Ars Technica, Half-Life 3, unsurprisingly, is one of several projects Valve worked on for a while before abandoning for one reason or another. We know that combat in Ghost of Tsushima is going to be lethal, but one mechanic in particular showed off in the gameplay reveal was quickly brushed aside as the video went on. That being combat stances. We caught up with Tsushima creative director Jason Connell to learn a little bit more about the role stances play in the game’s combat. The different stances in Ghost of Tsushima are essentially counters to the enemy types you’ll come across....

As promised, DICE brought the first-ever look at Battlefield 2042 multiplayer gameplay to the Microsoft stage, as part of the Xbox Bethesda Games E3 2021 Showcase. The video features a look at 128-player multiplayer on the new Conquest, captured from a variety of the game’s massive maps (but mostly Hourglass). This isn’t some stylised selection of scenes, either, we’re looking at direct gameplay capture for the most part, with the HUD and the rest of the UI visible....

It’s not an official design, obviously, but it’s incredibly well done. In fact, it’s sufficiently professional to indicate that it would probably be a pretty great idea for Sony to snap up the rights to it - I reckon a lot of spidey fans would love a Miles Morales PS5 that looks this good. As you can see, it’s pretty minimalist in the alterations it makes - obviously the blue light is subbed out for a more emphatically spidey shade of red, but aside from that there isn’t a huge amount of noise....

A video shared as part of the Tokyo Game Show 2020 festivities details some of Dan’s moves ahead and gives us a little more insight into how the character is going to work when he lands in Street Fighter V’s final season. If you’re familiar with the character, there aren’t too many surprises in store for you: flailing, kicking, punching, screaming are all present, along with the daft fighter’s “Gadouken” and “Koryuken” – his knock-off special moves....

A first look at the Cyberpunk 2077 Reaver - a car associated with the Wraith gang - was recently revealed on the game’s official Twitter page. The decision to release the ‘Pokemon Celebrations’ expansion is just such a no-brainer that it’s difficult to even give The Pokemon Company a lot of credit for it.
