In just 21 days, Iron Gate’s Valheim has sold more than 4 million copies. That’s according to developer Iron Gate Studio and publisher Coffee Stain, who also called out the Viking Early Access title has hitting a peak concurrent user figure of 500,000 people on Steam. In fact, it’s apparently one of just a handful of games to reach this milestone, sitting alongside blockbusters like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds and Cyberpunk 2077....

Riot Games has revealed the first Ultra Edition skins for Valorant. Ultra is one of five skin tiers in the game, and it’s one step below the highest tier (Exclusive). Elderflame is the name of this particular bundle, which gives four weapons and the knife a dragon-like look, with unique animations and sounds. The bundle will be available starting tomorrow, and costs 9900 VP; approximately $95, meaning each skin is 2475 ($24)....

Microsoft and developer Asobo have announced a couple of new updates that are set to arrive in its flagship simulation title, Microsoft Flight Simulator, in a developer Q&A on Twitch. According to the company, VR will be added via the free Sim Update 2 which will introduce support for all the major VR headsets. “It will be open to all devices,” executive producer Martial Bossard stated in the stream. “Oculus family, Valve family – every family of headset is going to be supported....

This is according to court documents from the ongoing court case between Epic Games and Apple. The Walmart cloud service, said to be called “Project Storm,” was pitched to Epic Games back in 2019. The court documents reveal emails sent by Epic Games co-founder Mark Rein stating he had “played Walmart’s demo on an Android phone” with an Xbox controller, and that the experience felt “like playing on PS4 and superior to playing on Android or iOS....

At least, that’s the consensus. As far as I can tell, Warcraft 3: Reforged is fine. The original cinematics have been scaled badly, and look choppy and low-res as a result. The new in-engine cutscenes are generally an improvement - sometimes excellent - but the lip syncing is way off. Sometimes, the animations are off too, like when I watched Arthas kill Mal’Ganis by stabbing Frostmourne through his left bollock....

Sony’s next big PS5 reveal takes place today. The platform holder announced that lead system architect, Mark Cerny, will be sharing more about the console’s system architecture today. Psyonix has announced that Rocket League players will no longer need to have a subscription to PlayStation Plus or Switch Online to play the game online. The news was announced in a recent blog post on the official website. Rocket League is going free to play this summer, and the core gameplay will remain the same, but the main menus will be refined. An update on current platforms will be rolled out in the next few weeks around mid-September, and the launch of free-to-play will follow shortly after....

If you head over to Groups, you’ll be able to see all the games that support the feature collected in one easy-to-navigate space, too, showing you which titles on your system have a Quick Resume save state stored. 2K Games has surprise-announced XCOM: Chimera Squad, a follow-up to XCOM 2, coming to Steam next Friday, April 24.
