The Bloodborne community, hungry for anything to be done with the beloved modern classic, has once again taken to tinkering with the game’s code to produce some stunning results. By now, Bloodborne fans should be well aware of Lance McDonald, the modder who managed to create an unofficial 60fps patch for Bloodborne, and got it to run on PS4 Pro. Unfortunately, due to CPU limitations of last-gen machines, and the game’s unoptimised code, they only - barely - managed to get a locked 60fps at 720p....

As promised earlier this week, the gameplay reveal for Shadow Warrior 3 was shown today during the Devolver Direct stream. Here’s the synopsis: Fallen corporate shogun Lo Wang and his former employer turned nemesis turned sidekick Orochi Zilla embark on an improbable mission to recapture an ancient dragon they unwillingly unleashed from its eternal prison. Armed with a punishing mix of blades and bullets, Lo Wang must traverse uncharted parts of the world to track down the dark beast and push the apocalypse back yet again....

Details on the second Pokemon Sword and Shield DLC, Crown Tundra, have been provided. Later this year, the second area unlocked by the Expansion Pass will be the snowy Crown Tundra. In it, a man named Peony will appoint you as the leader of his exploration team and task you with investigating the frozen land. You will also explore the Pokemon Dens seen during Max Raid Battles, and come across unseen Legendary Pokemon which make the Crown Tundra their home....

Sonic Frontiers is the series’ first departure into open world design, all of which is built and set within several different biomes and environments. It’s a big departure for the series – a far cry from the 2D origins of the series. IO Interactive launched Hitman 3 yesterday, and though there’s been some difficulty with the game’s online servers, the title has been received with critical acclaim. And it looks like players that picked the game up on Microsoft’s next-gen console, the Xbox Series X, are in for a slightly better experience with the game. Digital Foundry has published a new video that shows Microsoft’s flagship console running the game at native 4K resolution (with the Series S supporting 1080p resolution)....

Hitman 3 players can participate in Act 4, the Season of Lust starting on July 27. Another week, another drip from the leakiest faucet, sorry, journalist around, Jeff Grubb, as spotted by VGC. This time, it’s about that supposed Immortal Fenyx Rising sequel that was reported on earlier this year. Except according to Grubb, it isn’t actually a full on sequel that’s in the works, but a spin-off. Speaking on the Games Mess Decides podcast, Grubb said “Ubisoft Quebec’s sequel to Immortals Fenyx Rising is not a proper sequel....

Regardless of whether you’re playing for the story or like to set your games to the highest difficult, Immortals Fenyx Rising bombards you with a bunch of mechanics and concepts in the opening hours and you can easily feel overwhelmed by all this new information. The Clashing Rocks island provides you with a quick tutorial in each key concept such as mastering combat, collecting resources and completing challenges, but the difficulty can ramp up quite quickly depending on where you head next and how adventurous you are....

Square Enix’s Kingdom Hearts series is now available on PC for the first time ever. As of today, you can pick up the collections of the first two entries in the Disney-themed RPG franchise (more details below), Kingdom Hearts 3 and its Re Mind DLC, as well as the recently-launched rhythm action title Melody of Memory. Kingdom Hearts 3 can be played in 4K resolution for the first time ever....

Each Gourmet Grand Prix – which includes a mixture of modes such as Race, Minigame, or Battle Royale – comes with its own tasting menu to manoeuvre, full of various desserts, burgers, or everything you’d need for the perfect fry-up. They’re all designed to look perfectly sumptuous as multiple Kirby characters roll around them, but I reached the end of each banquet wishing for a little more. Kirby’s Dream Buffet isn’t a bad game by any means....

A report today from Gameblog.fr stated that Hideo Kojima was fired from Komani due to misusing funds allocated to Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain in order to develop the Silent Hills teaser PT. Turtleblaze, developer of the action platformer Kunai, revealed in a Gamasutra post how its game got review bombed on Metacritic after being well-received by players and critics. It wasn’t because the developer had made any comments that angered any particular group, or really anything to do with the game itself. The game’s user score on Metacritic dropped from 8.1 to 1.7, all because of a single person. The user in question recently did a similar thing to Insurgency: Sandstorm’s score, and they explained in a since-deleted Reddit post how and why they did it....

Throughout the trailer, there’s a lot to unpack. Of course, we see more of the delightful albeit intimidating Bowser, hear more of Chris Pratt’s abysmal Mario voice, and we witness Toad being as adorable as can be. But that’s not even remotely close to everything the two-minute trailer had to show off. Peach finally makes her debut, wide-eyed and adorned in pink, while also being an absolute badass. Personally, I expect nothing less from Anya Taylor Joy’s take on the prolific damsel in distress....

There, she reconnects with her long-lost brother, Gabe, who had moved to the town in search of their missing father....

Never heard of it? Well, that’s not all that surprising – Live A Live is a 1994 release that actually only released in Japan. It wasn’t from a famous franchise, didn’t even sell all that well even in Japan, and doesn’t have the art of Dragon Ball’s Akira Toriyama. So it just went sort of largely forgotten for years, except by the most despicable and dedicated of JRPG nerds. Those nerds – including Undertale creator Toby Fox – did a good job of keeping Live A Live in the public consciousness over the years....

Lost Ark’s early access launch last week, its massive debut on Friday and the subsequent weekend introduced millions of players to the game. Many of them were very satisfied with the wealth of content available, varied class selection, strong action gameplay, and multitude of activities beyond simple mob combat. This helped Lost Ark earn the coveted Overwhelmingly Positive review rating on Steam. Unfortunately, as the weekend went on and server queues became longer and longer - particularly in Europe - sentiment turned, and more negative reviews started appearing....
