Inti Creates has announced Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2. The game is in development for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One and was announced today during the New Game+ Expo. It is a sequel to Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon, and will feature four playable characters, each with a variety of gameplay options, abilities, and more (thanks, Gematsu). Destiny developer Bungie has posted a job advert for an “incubation sandbox designer” for its new “multiplayer action game currently in incubation” that sheds a little bit of light on what the developer is working on (thanks, Destiny+ News). The job listing requires any potential applicants to be “[experienced in] working on character-focused action games” and “[familiar] with the with the competitive gaming landscape/esports”. Furthermore, the developer asks if any potential candidates for the job think about how teams work in competitive games over anything else, and prompts applicants to be enthused about how mechanics can weave together to create engaging gameplay moments....

The alpha for Call of Duty 2020 was accidentally discovered on the PSN database. This all started when PS4 Database, a site that catalogues PSN activity, created a new entry for a game called The Red Door. The name doesn’t immediately scream Call of Duty, but the Content ID is what gave it away. “EP0002-CUSA20074_00-COD2020INTALPHA1,” it reads, clearly indicating that we’re looking at the alpha build of this year’s Call of Duty....

Thanks to a combination of techniques in Call of Duty: Vanguard, the ludicrous lunge returns – and already we’re seeing players have a decent amount of fun with the overpowered melee monstrosity. In the video above, you can see content creator Drift0r demonstrate the move – and compare it to the original back in Modern Warfare 2. There’s also a surprisingly good bit of sponsored content in the video, too – kudos to Drift0r for that....

Castlevania Advance Collection has been rated in Australia by the country’s classification board. Of course, Konami has yet to announce such a collection, and while we have no idea what is actually included, the “Advance” part of the title has everyone thinking it’s filled with retro GBA games. Castlevania games on GBA totaled three, and were Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance, and Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (thanks, Gematsu)....

As part of Tuesday’s CD Projekt strategy update, where the developer announced its intention to work on multiple AAA games simultaneously, and delay its marketing push until closer to a given game’s actual release, the studio also shared some news about Cyberpunk 2077’s standalone multiplayer game. That game, which we were told would be CD Projekt Red’s next project after finishing the core Cyberpunk 2077, has been “reconsidered.” President and joint-CEO Adam Kicinski shared this news in the group strategy video, explaining that the work teams put into that mode will manifest in Cyberpunk 2077 in some way....

As part of a Cyberpunk 2077 case modding competition, the developer released a bunch of assets creators can use in their designs. Amongst them is a folder dedicated to logos for all seven gangs in the game. This is the first time we’re seeing many of these designs, and certainly the first in such high quality. The asset pack also includes logos for the various corporations in the game’s world, though those a lot less elaborate....

This new Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin trailer was shown off during Summer Game Fest today. In the game, after assuming the role of a Monster Rider who can use a Kinship Stone to form bonds with monsters, you will encounter Lilia and Reverto, who will return from the original Monster Hunter Stories. Apparently, the duo is on a mission to capture your companion Razewing Ratha before it can awaken its destructive power which was foretold in the prophecy of the Wings of Ruin....

The LPL is due to return on March 9, but will do so in a way that may come as a disappointment - albeit an understandable one - to fans. It will be exclusively broadcast online, meaning that local League of Legends aficionados will not be able to attend matches in person. “The LPL is back,” reads the official statement from the LPL on Twitter. Tripwire and Torn Banner are throwing open the proverbial castle gates to anyone that wants to play the intriguing multiplayer title from 8am PT, 11am ET, 4pm UK on Thursday, May 27 and and plan to keep them open until Tuesday, June 1....

Coming February 8 to all available platforms, the DLC will be playable in co-op, and with the Buddy Pass allowing Joseph: Collapse owners to invite another Far Cry 6 player on the same platform to join them for co-op play, even if the invitee does not own the DLC. In the DLC, players will take on the role of the villain from Far Cry 5 for an experience inspired by the rogue-lite genre....

EA posted an update on the development of Command & Conquer Remastered. The subject this time revolves entirely around the original game’s live-action (FMV) cutscenes. As you might imagine, the quality, resolution and compression of the original videos make representing them in the remaster complicated. Unlike game assets, developers couldn’t just re-shoot new footage. Producer Jim Vessella decided to track down the original tapes, to see if they could pull from an uncompressed source....

Company of Heroes 3, the latest installment in the strategy franchise and it’s coming to PC in 2022. And right now, you can get your hand on a pre-alpha preview through Steam. Players who join Relic’s CoH-Development program, which is powered by Games2Gether, can expect an early glimpse at the campaign experience. Signing up is free, and it will give you exclusive insights into how the game is being made, as well as a voice in its development....

The studio said that the in-game shop will remain operational, but there aren’t any plans to make new content available for purchase. All future patches will primarily focus on client sustainability and bug fixing, with balance updates coming as needed (thanks, resetera). To thank players, Blizzard is gifting the rare Epic Arcane Lizard mount to all players with next week’s patch. Released seven years ago, the MOBA hasn’t seen a new hero drop since Hogger arrived in December 2020, and the majority of the latest patches focuses mainly on stability, balancing, hero re-works, and bug fixes....

Cyberpunk 2077 received its big January update on Friday. The patch brought a tonne of stability and bug fixes, and is one of two major updates coming to the game in the first quarter. Though the patch has largely been positively received, players say it introduced a big new bug. One of the many fixes included in patch 1.1 is one for the mission Down on the Street. The original bug prevented Takemura from calling the player, thereby making it impossible to progress....

The Cyberpunk 2077 screenshot showing a look at the Badlands was released on GOG. Check it out (thanks, Nibel). You can grab the shot for yourself off GOG.com, which is offering Cyberpunk 2077 freebies to account holders. These freebies include previously released content and never seen before goodies such as unique concept art and ad posters with design styles featured in the game. The previously released content includes printable posters, digital wallpapers, gang graffiti, and steelbook art along with screenshots and weapon blueprints....

If you do post these, or any similar content for Cyberpunk 2077 before December 10, it will be taken down by the company. The reason is CDPR doesn’t want folks to be spoiled ahead of time. Here’s the notice: “We’re getting closer and closer to launch and chance are some of you will get your hands on a copy of Cyberpunk 2077 before release day,” reads the statement. “However difficult this might be for us to achieve, our ambition is for gamers all across the world to have the same spoiler-free experience at the time the game releases....

Back in February, we reported that Cyberpunk 2077 could run foul of Australian censors due to its inclusion of two things: drug use and sexualised violence. The former will appear in abundance - after all, you can’t really have Cyberpunk without uppers - but the latter won’t be “tasteless....
