That’s according to host and producer Geoff Keighly, who said as much on Twitter. The Game Awards 2022 will be held on December 8 and takes place at the Microsoft Theater in LA. The festivities will kick off at 4.30pm PT, 7.30pm ET, and 12.30am UK. Tickets for the show will go on sale November 1 through AXS, Microsoft Theater, and Crypto.com Arena. Last year, the awards show was held on December 9 and saw It Takes Two walk off with Game of the Year and two other awards....

After an emotional journey across three games, Cortana sadly passed away in Halo 4 - not a spoiler, it came out literally eight years ago - before returning as a baddie in Halo 5. Rumors of a PS5 patch coming for The Last of Us Part 2 surfaced back in January, so it’s just taken Sony and Naughty Dog a while to push it out. Once patch 1.08 for the game is installed on your PS5, you will find a toggle in the Display options that allows you to choose between a Framerate Target of 30 FPS or 60 FPS. You can also expect an enhanced resolution, faster load times, and more....

As you can see, the game is clearly listed as a Switch port in the title. While there’s no release date attached to it right now, pre-orders are already open, indicating that it will be available to Switch players sooner rather than later. The stats cover all platforms combined where the beta was available, meaning PC as well as two generations of PlayStation, and Xbox. Activision did not say how many players the beta attracted, or really offer any specific figures for those records. It’s easy to see, however, that the beta was very popular. It’s been a very long time since we last heard anything official about Elden Ring – From Software’s collaborative project with George R. R. Martin – but the wait for more news on the game should be coming to an end relatively soon. Speaking in a GamesBeat video earlier this week, Jeff Grubb – who has become something of an unofficial source when it comes to unannounced reveals – noted that it may not be too much longer before the developer lifts the lid on Elden Ring once again....

Treyarch has shared an outline of the new Zombies content and additions coming to Black Ops Cold War this Thursday with the mid-season update. Although there is no new map for standard round-based Zombies, this is an especially stacked update nonetheless. First, Outbreak will now have its own main quest, otherwise known as an Easter egg. Since launch, Outbreak never really had meta-objectives beyond the most immediate tasks players are asked to perform in every region....

The news comes from Matt MacLaurin, who is vice president of UX Design at PlayStation. After posting a photo after the PS5 reveal, MacLaurin shared new details about Sony’s next-gen console while replying to commenters on LinkedIn. “You’ll see our stuff soon,” MacLaurin said of his team’s work. “A little more pragmative, but a 100% overhaul of PS4 UI and some very different new concepts.” MacLaurin had a lot more to say in other replies....

The game takes place on the last day of Summer Camp and the teenage counselors of Hackett’s Quarry decide to throw a party to celebrate. Unfortunately for them, things take a turn for the worse as blood-drenched locals and something “far more sinister” turns a night of partying into a night of horror. In The Quarry, you will play as each of the nine camp counselors and any character can either become the star of the show - or die before daylight comes....

For those who aren’t aware, the Kingdom of Nilfgaard was memed to oblivion when their strange and visually off putting armour in the TV show. As part of this major update, free for all pre-existing owners of The Witcher 3, several Netflix show themed cosmetics and missions are coming to the game. The update also comes with overhauled performance, visual upgrades, a photo mode, and general bug fixes and optimisation for newer hardware....

The Witcher 3 is regarded as one of the greatest RPGs of all-time thanks to its open world full of deep and satisyfing combat with a rich story and side-quests (and Gwent). While the game and it’s two expansions concluded the story of Geralt of Rivia, there is plenty more in the Witcher universe for a new game to tackle. So far, we know relatively little about The Witcher 4 except from what we can interpret from the teaser image....

We’re now less than a month away from the release of Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and S consoles, and today have the full list of games that will be optimised for them. These are the games that have been tweaked by the dev teams to explicitly take advantage of the power under the hood rather than simply run better through backwards compatibility and brute force. It’s a list with some really big games, but look closer and it’s hard not to feel a tad disappointed....

YouTuber and modder Garden of Eyes is collaborating with COTA Studios to create a mod that adds a touch more gunplay to The Lands Between than there used to be, namely Bloodborne’s gun parrying system, as spotted by Eurogamer. The video for Outriders takes an in-depth look at the game releasing on April 1. It’s basically six minutes of almost everything you need to know about the game. Following a successful demo that drew over 2 million players in the first week, the demo gives you a first look at the dark sci-fi story campaign, combat, loot, and RPG systems. If I’m being brutally honest, hearing Todd Howard make mention to Fallout 5 honestly felt more excited than the entirety of the Starfield gameplay we saw at the Xbox & Bethesda showcase on Sunday (12 June). Speaking with Ryan McCaffrey, Howard detailed a couple of the things we learned from the Starfield gameplay trailer we saw at Sunday’s showcase. This includes the fact that Starfield will have a 30-40 hour campaign, which is longer than previous Bethesda games....

According to Jackson, because of the fact that none of it is faked in a train simulator - you really are travelling across hundreds of miles of track - these kinds of games really push consoles and PC to their limits....
