As you might expect, the lion’s share of support and studio resources are being poured into GTA Online, whereas Red Dead Online is getting scraps. In the blog post, Rockstar reiterated its commitment to delivering new content, quality of life updates, and various new features and improvements to GTA Online. This begins with the next update, due in the coming weeks, which will expand the Executive, Biker, Gunrunner, and Nightclub Owner in-game careers....

Earlier this week, a post was shared on Saints Row 4’s Steam page announcing that all copies of the game will be upgraded to the Re-Elected edition, which includes the Game of The Century Edition, and a whole heap of DLC packs too. This update is planned to release on December 8, which also happens to be the day that Saints Row 4: Re-Elected will be coming to the Epic Games Store....

The game, which is set in a city ‘writhing with crime,’ will see you battling it out between three main gangs that you’ll have to repel in order and take down the worst of the hardened criminals and bring order to bring some sort of order to the streets. The trailer heavily implies that the gang of characters we meet in the CGI trailer – The Boss, Nina, Kevin, and Eli – are starting up a “criminal empire”, and heavily implies you’ll be starting your own gang to wrestle control of the streets....

Along with fixing over 200 bugs, the development team said the update is just the start of its ongoing support for the game this year and beyond. The update increased stability in both single player and co-op, fixed issues with some challenge rewards not being granted, visual issues with customization have been addressed, new quality of life features for vehicles, combat, UI and other parts of the game were added, and more....

I’ve been hands-on with Scarlet Nexus and I’m here to give my thoughts and opinions with my time spent with the game. Lost Treasures is now available for all Sea of Thieves players on Xbox One, Windows 10 PC and Xbox Game Pass. You can expect a news checkpoint system that will help you progress through Tall Tales, Daily Bounties, and events. Tall Tales are narrative-driven adventures which “delve into the stories” of various people and places in the game. Nine make up the Shores of Gold sequence, while the other two were made available in update The Seabound Soul and Heart of Fire....

Developer Rare has attempted to do PvP in the past with the Arena mode, but it was ultimately shut down because hardly anyone played. But now, as shown off in the recent trailer for Sea of Thieves Season 8, a new take on PvP is coming, where players can choose between two rival factions, the Servants of the Flame, or Guardians of the Fortune, but you can switch between the two....

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Sega and media company Picturestart are teaming up to produce adaptations of music video game Space Channel 5 and beat ’em up Comix Zone. According to the report, the adaptation of Space Channel 5, now seemingly just called Channel 5, will be a comedy/ dance take on the game, which all apparently “tell the story of a hapless fast-food worker who is recruited by a freedom reporter from the future to save the world from aliens using the one thing that unites all people on the planet: our love of silly viral dances....

Have you ever felt like charging headless with a bomb in each hand towards a massive, concrete word? Was that word August? And, upon reaching said word, was it cruelly plucked into the air by some sort of divine intervention, causing you to run straight past it, unable to stop, towards a new structure reading September 24? If not, you are not Serious Sam 4. Anyway, fans disappointed by the slight delay will at least be glad to know that September 24 is the new “100%-not-gonna-change” release date....

Originally slated to release this year, the game was delayed due to restrictions caused by Covid-19 lockdowns which slowed the game’s development. So instead of the team crunching to get it out on time, the studio decided instead to release it in early 2022. The new date has been set for February 8. Coming to PC, PS4, and PS5, the Kung Fu game is in development with the folks who brought you the rather excellent Absolver....

Speaking in an interview with French outlet MaG - Movie & Game (thanks, ResetEra, via IGN) the Silent Hill movie director claimed that multiple games are in the works from several teams at Konami. If you’re a big Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater fan, and like what you saw of OlliOlli World last night during the IGN Expo at IGN Summer of Gaming (where we also heard about Doki Doki Literature Club Plus and Sifu), you’re definitely going to like SkateBird. The game, coming from indie studio Glass Bottom Games, will let you “explore lots of bird-sized parks, with simple controls familiar to any pro skating tiny hawk,” which sounds right up our proverbial ally....

The listing was found by Switch Brasil and it definintly lists the game for Switch. Released for all platforms back in November, save for Switch, this entry in the series is the most comprehensive as it comes with the main game and all of its expansions plus 500 Creation Club mods along with new quests. The extra content also includes four Creations such as fishing, Survival Mode, the Saints and Seducers creation, and the ability to acquire more goods from Skyrim’s Khajiit Caravans....

If you’re unfamiliar with Nemesis system, it works like this: enemies will remember the players actions, such as whether you had previously killed them or been killed by them, allowing them to move up and down the hierarchy. Get beat by a grunt often enough and it could work their way up the ladder, and they will bully you for constantly dying too. And now modder Syclonix seeks to add a similar system to Skyrim (thanks PCGamesN)....

Two bands of dangerous bandits are raiding the Khajiit caravans in Skyrim, each bearing a striking resemblance to the daedric denizens of Mania and Dementia in Sheogorath’s realm. The Saints, the protectors of Mania, are known by their resplendent golden equipment, while the warriors of Dementia, the Seducers, make use of Dark weapons and armor. In a blog post on the SIE site, the firm’s said that the soon-to-be-released console will boast a number of features that will help those with both visible and invisible disabilities play their favourite games. The firm said that the PS5 will have voice dictation that will allow users to input text quickly without an on-screen keyboard. Meanwhile, the hardware’s Screen Reader functionality will let gamers with visual impairments hear text on-screen and those with hearing disabilities can type messages that are read out loud to other party members....

Sony expects games to continue arriving for PS4 alongside PS5. This transition, according to head of platform planning Hideaki Nishino, will last around three years. Speaking to AV Watch in a wide-ranging interview, Nishino explained that it will be a couple of years before we see games made exclusively for PS5. “The current assumption is that the transition from PS4 to PS5 will take about three years,” Nishino told the site (though Google Translate)....

The interesting bit being that Spider-Man very well could’ve featured co-op and PvP elements in an alternate universe. Twitter user, DniweTamp, shared screenshots of what they’d found in the game files, and they reveal that co-op and PvP were once in development for the superhero title. The screenshots have also since been checked and verified by VGC. The information comes directly from the games executable files and shows that multiplayer mode would’ve included callouts to ’the Superior Spider Man’ alongside a winner message....
