Call of Duty: Warzone players, who only recently had a brief reprieve from the DMR-14 and Diamattis meta, have now run into an old, but seemingly undead glitch. As we’ve recently seen with the return of the invisibility glitch, it appears the infinite stim glitch has also reared back its ugly head. Over the weakened, a number of Warzone players posted footage of encountering this problem on Reddit. The glitch allows the player abusing it to heal themselves infinitely using the stim tactical item....

In a trailer, SNK producer Yasuyuki Oda and creative director Eisuke Ogura have revealed that series veterans Kyo, Benimaru and Shun’ei are all set to make it into the next game’s roster. Long-time fans of the series will recognize Kyo and the flamboyantly-haired Benimaru from the very first game (and multiple titles since), whilst Shun’ei returns from King of Fighters 14 to lead the charge in the story for this instalment....

The Medium is Bloober Team’s most ambitious game to date. Cloud Chamber, the new team behind the next iteration of Bioshock, has updated its job openings page, revealing some tiny hints about the future of the series. As spotted by Gamebyte, Cloud Chamber is currently hiring for a number of positions. This listing for a leader environment modeller goes through the usual introductory stuff before it gets into the responsibilities of the role. “We want you to set the example, leading efforts to help us breathe life into a new and fantastical world,” it reads, suggesting that the setting for this Bioshock won’t be something we’ve seen before....

When Nvidia announced its new 30-series graphics cards, people were rightly excited to get their hands on the new cards and test out their in-game performance. The new GPUs appear to be well worthwhile, at least based on my review of the GeForce RTX 3080, which generally speaking offered a strong uplift of as much as 50% to the frame rates of games when challenged with a full 4K, max settings presentation....

Obsidian has rolled out a new patch for The Outer Worlds, in preparation for tomorrow’s launch of the Murder on Eridanos DLC. Though patch notes were not announced ahead of time, players have been reporting a nice surprise. According to players who grabbed the ~26GB 1.0.7 patch, the game now runs at 60fps on next-gen consoles. Owners of both PS5 and Xbox Series X immediately noticed a smoother framerate, though seemingly not on Series S....

The new skins for the Overwatch Archives event include five legendary offerings for Tracer, Widowmaker, Soldier: 76, Genji, and Zarya. These are earned through Archives loot boxes. There are also three new epic skins for Mercy, Lucio, and Zenyatta which are earned through weekly challenges. Of course, you can also expect new player icons and sprays. Capcom has today unveiled all the PC specifications required to run Resident Evil Village on PC. In a welcome change, the developer actually posted performance targets for each set of specs - but in this case at least, it’s made things worse. Unsurprisingly, the PC specs, posted to Steam earlier, also confirm that ray tracing - a feature recently announced in the most bizarre of ways - will work on Nvidia as well as AMD GPUs....

Bethesda has always said Starfield would come before ES6, and zero details on the game have been provided. The studio did say ES6 it was being designed to be played for a decade or more, like Skyrim, and work wouldn’t fully start on it until Starfield is out the door - which means sometime after November 11, 2022. First reported by The Verge - and later confirmed by Microsoft - a new version of the Xbox App is being tested internally. This update will mirror the features players expect from Steam, and practically every other game launcher on PC. When it releases, users will be able to install games freely on any drive/directory, away from WindowsApps’ protected folders. It will also be possible to move installs around without having to re-download the entire game, something that isn’t currently possible....

The new Xbox Series X/S controller can easily switch between the different devices you use it with. As pointed out by Microsoft’s global customer success account manager Timo Wolf, the gamepad can remember which what it has been connected to. Holding the controller’s sync button will hook it up to the last mobile device or PC it was used with, with the controller flashing two or three times. Meanwhile, double-tapping the sync button will connect it to your Xbox console....

I’m a big fan of Astro’s Playroom, the cute 3D platformer from Sony that comes with every PlayStation 5. Bytedance, creator of the video sharing service TikTok, is seemingly making a serious effort to get int game development. Bloomberg reports that the Chinese company is currently building up its gaming division. Targeting mobile games, these teams would be working on “hardcore or non-casual” games. Bytedance has been acquiring smaller studios, and building up its own internal team. It already has over 1,000 developers working on various gaming projects....
