Some things operate on feel, and others, well, we can let you know of ahead of time to save you some of the trouble. In the few tips to follow, we’ll cover everything from moment-to-moment changes from Modern Warfare, to Black Ops Cold War’s own quirks. This may be a harder transition compared to previous years, so take things slow, and give our tips a read before jumping in. And please feel free to drop your own advice in the comments below....

Apparently the information was posted to the official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare website before being pulled. Luckily, Charlie Intel was able to report the information before it was taken offline. The site confirmed Ghost as the new Operator and Rust as the multiplayer map. Ghost and Rust were both teased earlier this week. Details on the Battle Pass also leaked. It will run you 1000 CP or you can pick up the Battle Pass Bundle for 2400 CP....

This year’s unusual release is Sledgehammer Games’ Vanguard, the studio’s second World War 2 game in a row after 2017’s Call of Duty: WW2. If you’re keeping up with the series’ three-year development cycle, you’ll know that it was actually Sledgehammer’s turn last year to deliver a game, which it had been working on alongside Raven, but disagreements between the two over design direction reportedly forced Activision to bring in Treyarch to salvage what’s left and bring us last year’s Black Ops Cold War....

You can check out the official Death Stranding PC launch trailer in the video embedded below. “Remember Sam,” says the ridiculously named Die-Hardman. “Every parcel is a promise made to a person in need. And they’re counting on you to deliver.” The trailer also features some of the new details that are unique to the PC version, including a 21:9 ultrawide support mode and a Very Hard difficulty setting. Plus, there’s loads of Half-Life stuff in there, like Gravity Gloves and an official Half-Life BRIDGES truck....

The first will be the Phantom Magenta Special Edition Wireless Controller on 17th March for $69.99. This follows the previously-released White and Black versions in the ‘Phantom’ series. Like those other two, the upcoming version combines a solid base colour with a translucent top to create a swish effect that reveals the inner workings of the controller. It’s quite a strong colour choice, but I think I’m a fan....

Nintendo Switch Online is being updated today with Super Mario All-Stars. The company announced the game during a surprise Mario-centric Direct this morning. Super Mario All-Stars features upgraded versions of Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, Super Mario Bros. 2, and Super Mario Bros. 3 with enhanced graphics. Alongside the game, Nintendo also announced Super Mario 35 today, which is a limited-run online battler for 35 players....

Developer Red Candle made the announcement on Facebook, confirming that Devotion will indeed be preserved despite being removed from Steam over its inclusion of art mocking China’s president Xi Jinping. “For the past one year, we are sorry for making our community worried”, the studio wrote in a post. “Although the current status might not be ideal, we are still here and that nothing has changed - we are and will always develop games with the same passion....

Activision and Toys for Bob announced Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time for Switch, and new-gen consoles today. It’s coming on March 12. Players on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S can expect 4K with 60 FPS along with quicker loading times and 3D audio. If you already own the game or purchase it for PS4 or Xbox One, you are entitled to receive next-gen upgrades at no cost within the same console family, as well as the ability to transfer play data....

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion was revealed in a special live stream that was broadcast to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of the original Final Fantasy 7 - at long last giving newer fans a modern way to buy and play this lore-packed FF7 spin-off. Crisis Core originally released as a PSP exclusive all the way back in 2008. Despite its popularity, and despite some other PSP Square Enix titles such as Final Fantasy Type-0 and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep making the jump to other platforms, Crisis Core never did so - remaining as a PSP exclusive long after the console was out of production....

So, for the avoidance of doubt, let’s start this review that way: by making clear what the game is. Crisis Core Reunion is a huge visual overhaul of the 2007 PSP game, so significant and overarching that one would be forgiven for thinking this was a ground-up remake. But it isn’t: beneath the hood, beyond the veneer of visuals and character models that have been directly borrowed from FF7 Remake or spec-built to match it, the structure of the game is largely identical....

Crytek announced today via Twitter that the Switch version of Crysis Remastered will still be released on July 23. The game was originally set to release the same day for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, but will be delayed by a few weeks. The official trailer reveal was also delayed. It’s release a few weeks later than planned, for platforms other than Switch, is so the development team can make some improvements Thanks, Gematsu....

Cyberpunk 2077 developer and publisher CD Projekt has today issued an unusual memo, revealing the number of copies the game has sold since release. The report confirms that Cyberpunk 2077 managed to sell 13 million copies by December 20 (ten days), covering both digital and physical. This sell-through (meaning to consumers) figure also factors in all the refund and return requests processed by December 20, across both physical and digital stores....

The news was announced today during a livestream where the CD Projekt Red developers showed off both PS5 and Xbox Series X/S gameplay. According to the devs, with the patch, on next-gen systems you can expect 4K resolution with dynamic scaling, ray tracing, and improvements to both visuals and the technical end. The PS5 version supports the DualSense controller’s adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, and audio features. The team also implemented native achievement support on next-gen consoles....

Mod creator Forsakensilver has attempted to answer a question Souls fans have had for years: what if you could shoot your way out of trouble? The modder’s latest project does exactly that, bringing modern firearms to the world of Dark Souls 3. The mod replaces all the crossbows in the game with modern weapons. The heavy crossbow, for instance, is now an AK47, whereas the light crossbow gets turned into a Vector....

A couple of hours after it was revealed that Days Gone is coming to PC this spring, ahead of more PlayStation first-party exclusives making the jump, the game’s Steam page quietly went up. The Days Gone Steam page lists the spring release target, and the usual story and mechanics descriptions you’d see on any other page. Considering it is only the second PS4 first-party exclusive to come to PC, however, it’s under much more scrutiny....

Bethesda and Arkane brought a new Deathloop trailer to Sony’s PS5 Showcase, giving us a fresh look at gameplay, and detailing two of the game’s targets. Deathloop is an assassination shooter about being stuck in a time loop. In order to break it, protagonist Colt must take out eight targets - called Visionaries - but he’s being hunted himself by a rival assassin. The latest trailer shows off two of those Visionaries: Aleksis and Egor....
