According to a report on Bloomberg, and CD Projekt’s annual report, CEOs, Marcin Iwinski and Adam Kicinski will each receive around $6.3 million each as an end of the year bonus. Meanwhile, the game’s director and board member Adam Badowski will receive $4.2 million. The bonus figures are based on the company’s 2020 net earnings, which are estimated to be around $562 million. While much of that profit came from sales of Cyberpunk 2077, other titles from the company such as The Witcher 3 also contributed to the bottom line....

New cards, for a total of 72, will be released in 2023 during April and July, with the final batch arriving in September. These drops will complete the card pool. According to game director Vlad Tortsov, handing it over to the community may be “unconventional,” but is a solution for the continued balance and livelihood of the game. “We want to give the Gwent community the right tools and opportunity to drive the balance changes of the game going forward,” they said....

At E3 last year, Bethesda announced a very different Commander Keen game for mobile. It was big enough to warrant its own segment as part of the publisher’s E3 show. The debut trailer gave us a look at the new art style and character designs. It wasn’t particularly well received, though fans were mostly confused about the cartoony, lighthearted new direction. Now, one year later, all mention of the reboot has been scrubbed from Bethesda’s various websites....

Earlier this week, a number of players who own Control’s Deluxe Edition reported that the game’s recently released Ultimate Edition was seemingly stealthily added to their PlayStation Network libraries. Upon visiting the Ultimate Edition’s page on the PlayStation Store, they were greeted with a download button, rather than a purchase button. Others, who owned the base game and the season pass, also saw the same option to download. A large enough number of players were affected that many shared the good news on Resetera and Twitter....

Crucible is a PvPvE shooter where you get to pick from ten characters - called hunters - that each bring unique weapons and abilities to the fight. Players are dropped into an open world to fight monsters and each other, and to survive the planet’s dangers. As you play, you collect Essence, which you can invest back into your character to boost your power. Crucible launches with three modes: Heart of the Hives, Harvester Command, and Alpha Hunters....

We’re approaching Street Fighter 5’s fifth anniversary, and to celebrate, the developer is adding Dan Hibiki to the game – as well as working on the game’s next Season of content. In a video message, Street Fighter 5 producer Shuhei Matsumoto confirmed that the developer is still working on the upcoming Season, but noted difficulties stemming from Coivd-19 mean that the studio is slightly behind. “Year 2020 has been a difficult one due to the effects of Covid-19, having a significant impact on our life and work styles,” Matsumoto explained....

The apparel and accessories designers at Acronym teamed up with Death Stranding’s Hideo Kojima and Yoji Shinkawa to modify one of the company’s oldest jackets to resemble one of Sam’s in-game looks. The updated J1A-GT was briefly available for $1,900, but has since sold out. This partnership came about because Kojima and Acronym co-founder Errolson Hugh are friends. Hugh has a cameo in Death Stranding, and you’ll even spot Acronym-designed products in the game....

Destiny 2: Beyond Light may have vaulted a few locations and sunset a plethora of fan-favorite weapons, but it’s also introducing a couple of cool new features – and some, probably unintentional, throwbacks. In case you don’t remember or need a quick primer, the original loot cave was a place Guardians could shoot into infinitely to farm engrams and raise their power level (if they were below the soft cap)....

The Revelry spring event has been replaced by the Guardian Games this year, with each of the classes battling it out for the top spot. The winners will have a commemorative statue placed beside Zavala for an entire year and you’ll be able to rub it in your pals Titan face that Warlocks were the champions. Thanks to a rogue Australian PlayStation Store listing (since removed), however, much of what Bungie is going to talk about today has leaked. As spotted by TrueTrophies, the listing confirms a February 22, 2022 release date for The Witch Queen. According to TrueTrophies, the page revealed the game’s new destination, which is going to be Savathun’s Throne World. It “plays host to a fragile balance of power. From her palace to the swamp, all that she hides can be found here....

On Friday, the official Destiny 2 Twitter posted a cryptic audio clip of what appears to be ambient noises or ship sounds. The background of the video has 91 pillars, combined take the shape of several pyramids. Longtime Destiny fans will know that the race behind the pyramid ships has long been in the works. The original Destiny 2 campaign ended with a teaser of their arrival, and the story of the Shadowkeep expansion revolves around one of those ships being hidden under the surface of the moon....

The Destiny 2 expansion, Warmind, added a particularly challenging puzzle that players never actually solved in the way it was intended. It’s only fitting that now is the time it gets solved. Warmind, of course, centred around dormant Earth defence system, Rasputin, which will play a role in the upcoming Season of the Worthy. Perhaps this was Bungie’s plan all along. The original search was triggered by a symbol players spotted inside a Rasputin bunker, who later realised that six ciphers are required to figure out exactly what the symbol is pointing to or trying to say....

Bungie confirmed today it will release Destiny 2 on PS5 and Xbox Series X. A date or other details weren’t provided, the developer said it would release more details soon. Announced during BlizzConline 2021’s opening ceremony, the Diablo team showed off the latest class for Diablo 4: the Rogue, which is the fourth class to be revealed for the game alongside the Barbarian, Druid, and Sorceress. That leaves just one more to be announced. The Rogue is a flexible class, and the game will let you create the kind you want to play. You can customize the look, playstyle, and background of the character....

You’ve probably heard about Redfall, the once-delayed title coming from Arkane Austin for Xbox Series X/S and PC. It’s, largely, a co-op game that many have been calling a ‘Left 4 Dead/Back 4 Blood-alike’, though recent comments from Bethesda staff seem to line it us as something quite different from either of those titles. “It’s a first-person shooter that you can play solo or with up to four players,” Hines said in yesterday’s extended Xbox showcase (thanks, GamesRadar)....

Doom and Doom 2 have received an update today which contains curated add-ons such as megaWADS, and John Romero’s SIGIL. The update also includes 60 FPS support, Quick Save functionality, and quality-of-life adjustments. Add-ons can be downloaded for free from the main menu for both games. This is an initial batch but suggestions on the best WADs to include in the future will be taken into account. Both titles are also available from today for PC users via the Bethesda....
