We’ve been mostly hearing bad news these past few weeks, so it’s great to see a feel-good story cut through the noise. Sophia, the daughter of PlayStation London producer Alexia Christofi, didn’t get her ninth birthday party because of the coronavirus lockdown in the UK. Little did she know, her mother’s friends have been planning a little surprise party for her elsewhere: in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. They even did the work to make it feel as real as possible, bringing gifts and setting up confetti poppers, and they all played some hide and seek with little Sophia.
