Disciples: Liberation is set in a dark fantasy world where you will fight “foul beasts” in turn-based combat. You will also partake in hundreds of quests and develop relationships with in-world factions. These factions include a human empire full of religious extremism and dark forces of the undead lead by a mad queen. Once you form an alliance, you will build an army and trade resources for an assortment of upgrades to your home base....

YouTuber DIY Perks has heard people calling out for a smaller PlayStation 5 console, and has taken the challenge of reducing the size of the newest PlayStation machine to a much smaller footprint - though it comes with some caveats. After having built the “world’s first PlayStation 5 Slim” – in a machine only 2cm tall! – DIY Perks posted a video showing off the process behind shrinking the behemoth console into something a little more… compact....

The drop rate and damage on Destiny 2’s latest raid exotic, Eyes of Tomorrow, has been confirmed as incorrect and Destiny 2 developer Bungie has promised a fix will arrive for the weapon in an update on March 23. In the studio’s latest blog post, the developer explains that, essentially, the counter that’s designed to give you the weapon after you’ve cleared the Raid enough times hasn’t been working correctly....

Update 2 is now available for Doom Eternal, and along with the Battlemode map Torment, the Castle Grayscale mini-event is live. The event features a Black and White Pain Elemental, Mancubus, the “Old Timey Evil” GIBBO Collectibles mascot icon, and more. You can find out all about the event here. It ends on July 2. In Update 2, you can also expect fixes and improvements, such as the ability to set up unique keybinds per demon, improved usability of the Boosters menu, and additional improvements to latency issues....

These heroes are Sombra, Bastion, Doomfist, and Orisa. For starters, Sombra’s cooldown on her hacking abilities has been reduced to eight seconds. She will also now be able to view targets through walls that she can hack for either herself or her teammates. She will also be able to hack while using stealth. Her ultimate will now deal damage up to 40% of an opponent’s health, and her passive will dole out 50% more damage to hacked targets....

The studio said it has a team dedicated to the unannounced title, which is an open-world action RPG in a fantasy setting. With the success of Dying Light and the great opening for Dying Light 2, Techland felt now was the time to announce it has a new title in development, and that it is hiring folks to help fill various positions within the team. “We’re very happy with what we have accomplished with the Dying Light franchise so far," said Pawel Marchewka, CEO at Techland....

Starting next week on August 18, the services will be rebranded as EA Play, and Origin Access Premier will be renamed EA Play Pro. Benefits will remain the same, but EA says it will be “adding even more in the coming months” such as exclusive in-game challenges and monthly reward drops on select titles. The move to the new name also means the EA Play event will be renamed EA Play Live, the first of which - under the new moniker - took place back in June....

EA Originals will provide funding for the up-and-coming studio’s unannounced IP. Silver Rain, which is based in the UK, was co-founded in December 2019 by Salim, best known for his role on HBO’s Raised by Wolves, and who is also known for lending his voice to Assassin’s Creed Origins character Bayek. Salim will run the studio alongside Melissa Phillips, who will lead as head of studio, who previously worked as the BAFTA Games Programme manager on BAFTA Games programs and events....

Elden Ring is pitched as a game that builds on the studio’s legacy of creating intriguing worlds, exciting and challenging combat, and a style of storytelling that demands you pay attention to every little detail you come across. It’s one that brings back and refines much of what players of Soulsborne games are familiar with, only housed in an open world. A first for the storied studio; Elden Ring’s open world is large and comes with few restrictions on where to go and what to do....

Before you go around grinding trash mobs for Runes to over-level your character and power through fights, you might actually want to direct these efforts elsewhere. That’s because Elden Ring doesn’t really care what your character’s level is, though farming Runes can certainly be helpful. It mostly looks at how powerful your weapon is. Different weapons will scale differently with your various stats, but the main contributor to your overall DPS is the level of your weapon - in other words, how many times said weapon has been upgraded up to that point....

Paranoia: Happiness is Mandatory is a sci-fi CRPG co-developed by Black Shamrock and Cyanide Studio, based on the Paranoia tabletop RPG. As far as I can tell, it’s a decent RPG with an interesting take on AI. The game was initially set to launch November 14 last year, but ended up getting delayed to December 5. It is an Epic Games Store exclusive, which makes this whole situation even more unusual....

The Epic Games Store’s Halloween Sale has begun, offering massive discounts on select tiles. The sale will be available all the way until Thursday, November 5. Though Epic isn’t giving away any coupons during this time around, existing coupons you might have from previous sales will apply. Given the coupons’ value and the already big discounts some of these games have, you’d be getting a bargain that’s hard to beat....
