On the surface, Astria Ascending intrigued me with its wonderful hand drawn artstyle. A report published by Bloomberg confirms that two insiders at the Warner Bros. studio working on the Harry Potter RPG have corroborated the fact that the game is still scheduled to launch next year as originally planned. Although it was supposed to be unveiled at E3 2020, the coronavirus pandemic forced the studio to adjust its existing roadmap. As of right now, it remains unclear as to when the first official gameplay footage of the Harry Potter RPG will be shown....

This is effectively the game’s first “post-launch” patch, following last Friday’s early access launch. Sony, for the first time ever, announced that it’s bringing PS4 exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn to PC. This unprecedented move no doubt made it easier to believe that more exclusives would be on the way to PC, but Sony has now said that this isn’t the case. “The listings are not accurate. We have made no announcements to bring these games to PC,” a spokesperson said. Indeed, when Sony first announced Horizon Zero Dawn is coming to PC, Worldwide Studios boss Hermen Hulst said the company has no plans for day and date PC releases of its exclusives....

Activision has officially, in an unusual way, confirmed the name of this year’s Call of Duty. As industry reports suggested earlier this year, and backed up by Doritos bags, this year’s game is titled Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Over the past few days, the company has been running a big ARG that involved sending Call of Duty YouTubers slide projectors, which would later point them to spots on maps from Black Ops 4 and others in Warzone....

As part of this week’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare content update, the game received a number of fresh playlists and new modes. Among them was Giant Infection; a variant of Infected played on the game’s big Ground War maps. The player count and the size of these maps created a different kind of chaos from traditional Infected, but perhaps it was a bit too good. Developer Infinity Ward quickly discovered that Giant Infection was awarding players more XP than intended....

Some of the changes made to Black Ops Cold War suppressors in Call of Duty: Warzone are being undone. In a post on Twitter, developer Raven Software said that it would be “returning” the Agency, GRU and Wrapped suppressors to “their former glory” following some changes it made to Warzone as part of the battle royale title’s second season. When Season One of Black Ops Cold War’s Warzone mode was rolled out, it was difficult to figure out what weapon attachments did, as descriptions were misleading and the stats provided didn’t match what they actually did....
